Ring

Jeremy

I had thrown my Wedding ring at Leah.

She slammed it down on the Coffee table.

"I'm done. I'm done with you threatening me with this."

Aleeah was startled when she did it.

Addie was sleeping on the couch.

Ali was sleeping in her room.

Leah shoved pass me.

She walked into Ali's room.

I stood in the doorway.

Leah took her glasses off her face.

She sat them on her nightstand.

I walked to our room.

I crashed on the bed, exhausted from working.

Leah

"Are Jeremy and you okay?" Gracie asked.

"Why don't I make you Lunch?" I questioned, changing the subject.

"That didn't answer my question. Miranda has thrown her ring at Daddy before. Multiple times. She's slammed it. Thrown it at the wall."

Jeremy

"Are Jeremy and you okay?" Aleeah asked.

"Why don't I make you Lunch?" Leah questioned, changing the subject.

"That didn't answer my question. Miranda has thrown her ring at Daddy before. Multiple times. She's slammed it. Thrown it at the wall."

"Don't tell Daddy I told you."

"I won't."

"He gets mad when I tell you things I'm not supposed to."

"Do not keep secrets from me, Gracie."

"I'm not."

"Mm-hmm."

"Daddy doesn't have Ali use her wheelchair."

"He doesn't listen. And she's just gonna get worse."

"Mommy!" It was Addie.

"I'm not deaf, Addie. Jeez."

"This conversation is not over, Mommy."

"Yeah, it is."

Ali walked out of her room.

"Sweetheart, can you grab your glasses please?"

"Where are they?"

"Gracie, help her. Please."

"Alright."

Gracie ran into Ali's room.

She handed her glasses to her.

Leah put Ali's glasses on her.

She picked Addie up.

"What do you guys want for Lunch?"

"Peanut Butter and Jelly." Ali and Aleeah said at the same time.

"Alright."

Leah

I made Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches for the girls.

I put them in their chairs at the table.

I gave them to them.

I sat on the couch on my phone.

Jeremy

It was silent for once.

That's unusual.

Leah is always talking to the girls while they're eating.

I got up.

Leah was sitting on the couch on her phone.

The girls were eating at the table.

"I'm amazed you got them to sit at the table. They don't when I tell them to."

Aleeah was making funny faces on her face with the bread.

"Aleeah Grace, I thought I told you to stop doing that."

"Ha ha. You got in trouble." Ali told her.

"You're in trouble. I will make sure Daddy knows that."

"Ugh."

I sat at the other end of the couch on my phone.

I knew Leah was pissed off.

I knew she was keeping her anger at bay in front of the kids.

Leah didn't want Aleeah, Ali, or Addie to see her lose it.
