James Sirius Potter's POV:-

" James! Albus! Come down, we're gonna be late! You know how scary Grandma Molly could get if we arrive late. "

Mom's voice came from down stairs as I hurried to pack the last of my items in the bag.

Clothes?

Checked

Invisibility cloak?

Checked

Extendable ears?

Checked

Bertie Blots' Every Flavoured Beans?

Just then, Lily's head popped into my room. " You ready? Mom is going crazy downstairs. You better hurry up. "

I frowned my eye brows in confusion. " What's happened to mom? "

At my question, she plopped down onto my bed, playing with the locket that some friend had given to her. I have not a clue as to who this 'friend' is, she never mentioned their name, and I just hope it's not a guy. " Dad. I heard mom shouting to dad about being 'careless' and 'irresponsible'. "

I chuckled at her response. Well, it was a common occurrence at our household. Dad always made mistakes intentionally to annoy mom and that woman always fell into his trap.

" Come on, let's go. " I grabbed my back pack and made my way downstairs, with Lils hot on my heels. Just as I rounded the corner, my brother Albus ran into me.

He groaned in annoyance. " Can't you see where you're going? Keep your eyes open  as to where you're headed to. " Came his arrogrant reply.

I snickered, having a perfect answer mustered up. " Sorry; my bad. I should've side-stepped the trash. Don't worry though, from next time I'll try to be more attentive. "

Al glared at me before bumping my shoulder harshly and making his way downstairs.

I don't know what his problem is; he has been grumpier and more frustrated than usual since the summer break. Well, it's not that he came to us and said 'don't talk to me, I'm in a very foul mood' but his actions said the exact.

As I made my way downstairs, I saw Dad holding a phone, Lily's to be exact, while mom had a look if sympathy on her face.

As soon as our feet touched the ground, Dad asked in a dangerously calm voice. " Who's Nathaniel? "

The question was directed towards Lily, whose face visibly paled at the question. " H-He's just a.... fr-friend. "

As I asked, " What's happening? " Dad shoved Lil's phone in my direction. And as soon as I read her messages, I knew exactly what.
