Freya

I sat there once I recorded and sent the voice message feeling empty. What else could I do? I stood up from my bedroom and saw the clothes on the floor from this morning. I managed to get the energy to pick them up with the push of some music. I turned on the radio and found my self frozen to the spot.

What makes you beautiful by one direction played. The boy band that separated me from my father. Ever since them boys went onto his beloved show, the X factor, I never saw him again.

It's just me and my mum now but us 3 were all a happy family until 23rd July 2010. It's now 2014 and I don't miss him or at least I pretend I don't hence the voice messages. I use to love one direction but I matured and realised I was to old. I am only a few years younger than them but it feels like a lifetime.

My mum interrupted my music session with her yells from the bottom of the stairs. What is it with mum yelling from the bottom of the stairs? I stopped the music and walked to the top of them stairs.

" yeah,what's wrong mom?"

" why have you got messages on your phone from an unknown number. You phone won't stop going off!" She yelled.

I ran downstairs confused because I hardly get any messages and more since I left school. I had an iPhone 5 which I practically begged for last Christmas. My mum wasn't lying. I had at least 15 messages from this number.

" I don't know who they are? I will find out though. Ok mum." She nodded and told me to be careful so I ran up the stairs. I opened the messages.

"Hey, is this Freya Cowell? "

"Please answer me ASAP!"

"???????"

" hello".

"What do you want?"

"Yes , how do you know my name."

"This is Liam Payne from one direction.
We heard you voice message to your
dad and you can sing. Message me
back ASAP!"

"Ummm, this is awkward."

"We are thinking of leaving your dads
management and letting you
join the band. We will meet
up with you and that
but would you be interested?"

"Oh my god, are you seriously
asking me this. No I don't. I have
seen how toxic this industry is. You
have asked the wrong person."

"Okay, I won't give up this easy!"

I flopped down on my bed and wondered if I made the right choice. Yes, I did. I have seen what the music industry does to people and I don't won't to be part of that . I have work the next day so I decide to roll over and get some rest.
