"Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord?"

"He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart, who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully."
"He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation." Y/N said
"That's enough." I said as I grabbed her hand
"Thank you." Ed said as he took the Bible that was at the table
"Well?" I spoke
"These religious objects would've been enough to provoke an inhuman spirit, if there was one present." Lorraine said
"Wait so that mean she's not possessed?" I said to them
"The fact that she can read from the Bible just seals it." He said as I look back at y/n
"So, what does this mean, then..."
"I'm just crazy?" She said as tears formed in her eyes
"No no don't say that" I said as I shake my head
"Well... you're not possessed."
"But that doesn't mean that you weren't."
"I... invited this thing into me, and that's the reason that debbie's dead." She spoke looking at both Ed and Lorraine
"So, you know, whatever happens to me, I've got it coming."
"No, you don't." I said as to her
"Look..."
"I was there."
"Whatever is going on... whatever happened that day... that was not Y/N" I said as she looks back at me
"We're going to help you in every way that we can." I hear Lorraine say
"If the demon's gone, what can you do now?" I said
"Who's your lawyer?"
LORRAINE's POV
"She was found covered in the victim's blood."
"The murder weapon belongs to her and it's got her fingerprints all over it." The lady in front of us said
"Nobody's disputing any of that. Y/N knows that he's going to prison."
"All we're saying is that there were mitigating circumstances." Ed said while looking at me then back at the lady
"Mitigating circumstances?" She said
"Look, I don't think she should get the death sentence, either."
"But I am not going before a grand jury and saying she was possessed by demons."
"It's never been done." She said but Ed Interrupts her sentence
"Yes it has! It's been done twice in England." He said
"The Michael Taylor case was just a few years ago." He says as I nodded
"Alright...Let me rephrase that. It's never been done successfully." The lady spoke while leaning back at her chair
"Then let us help you."
"Ed and I have proven the existence of the demonic hundreds of times." I said to her
"You've proven it to the church. This is a court of law." She says
"The standards of evidence are completely different."
"The courts accepts the existence of God every time a witness swears to tell the truth." Ed says
"I think it's about time they accept the existence of the devil." He says as Arne looks at him then at the lady
"How are you going to convince a jury if you can't even convince me?" She said
"I'll tell you what. You come over to our house for dinner." Ed said
"We'll show you the evidence we've collected over the years."
"Introduce you to Annabelle."
"If you're not convinced, we'll butt out."
"Deal?" He said
"All right. Show me what you got."
