It was soft at first. So soft, I barely heard it. Tapping at my window. I put down the book I was reading, making my way to it. There he was.
Biting my lip, I opened the window. "Shannon, what are you doing here? My dad will kill you if he sees you."
He smiled up at me. "I don't care about your dad. I needed to see you. Sneak out with me."
"Shan..."
"Jen... C'mon, jump down, I'll catch you."
I shook my head, laughing. This was insane but I missed Shannon a lot. Getting my leather jacket and bag, I threw them both down at Shannon, who caught them and placed them on the floor.
Taking a deep breath, I climbed the window. "You better not let me fall, Leto." Closing my eyes, I jumped down, a silent scream escaping my lips before I felt arms on me.
"Perfect catch." There it was. That smile. He looked at the house for a moment before tenderly pressing his lips to mine.
I didn't care where we were going or that I was gonna get in trouble once morning came. As long as I was with him, everything was perfect.
