"Jae please help turn this into a needle! I'm not sure how much more judging looks I can get from Mcgonagall," Hayley whisper shouted to Ri Jae, who was sitting next to her, during their Transfiguration class.

"You just need more concentration and confidence, I'm sure you can nail this, Xan did it," said Jae, motioning towards an extremely glee looking Xan, who for the first time achieved to perform a transfiguration spell.

"Glaring at me isn't gonna help, try swishing wand," Xan said to Hayley, blowing raspberries at her.

"How old are you?" Said Jae, exasperated, to which Xan just shrugged and said "My button is now a needle, her's isn't, that's all that matters," Jae shook his head and turned to Hayley, who had a cheeky look on her face,

"Oh, I know that look, and I'm not turning that into a needle for you," said Jae with a pointed look,

"Please Jae, I'm begging you! Please..." Asked Hayley in desperation,

"Okay Okay, I'll do it just this once," said Jae, as he turned to look at Mcgonagall, who was making rounds, before turning the button to a needle.

"You're the best" Hayley said as Mcgonagall reached their table.

"Ah, I see Mr Sayre has turned his button to a needle and Mr Choi has turned two buttons into needles, where's yours, Miss Hayley?" Mcgonagall asked with a taunting sharp look, to which Hayley gulped in response.

When the class got over, a bleak-looking Hayley, Xan and Jae came out.

"I tried my best," said Jae,

"I know," mumbled Hayley.

"The weekend's coming and maybe could get started on the wandless magic lessons," said Xan,

"Yes!" Jake added enthusiastically,

"But after Quidditch, the season's first match is tomorrow, Gryffindor Vs Slytherin, it's going to be a close game," said Jae,

"Yeah. Malfoy would throw me off into the Black Lake if he hears me saying this, but from what I've seen, the Gryffindors might just win the match. The only edge Slytherins have are their Nimbus two thousand and ones," Xan said,

"It's actually pretty painful to watch the Slytherins play, they commit lots of fouls, but then again they are barely visible. The speed of the brooms make them look like green and silver blurs," He added

"You said 'from what I've seen' have you seen the Gryffindors play?" Asked Hayley, puzzled,

"I've sneaked into their practices couple times, their Captain, Wood, gives very rigorous training, it's actually quite neat," said Xan as a matter of factly, as Hayley and Jae stared at him,

"I'm a Slytherin but also a Quidditch enthusiast....don't look at me like that, also never ever ever talk about this in the common room, Malfoy would come for my head," said Xan as they walked towards the Great Hall.

On a cloudy Saturday, almost the whole school had assembled at the stands of the Quidditch Stadium to see the first match of the season, the fact that it was Gryffindor Vs Slytherin, added to the expectations. Hayley, Xanthus and Ri Jae sat together in the stands, near the Ravenclaw crowd. Hayley was quite excited as she was about to witness a Quidditch game for the very first time, much to the amusement of Xan and Jae.

Soon the match started as both teams flew into the air. The Slytherin players were barely seen as a blur, owing to their superfast brooms. Hayley, Xan and Jae were sharing binoculars to see the game. Xan and Jae were rapidly explaining some moves pulled by the players while adding how it could've been better.
