Chapter 6

Lexie POV
Today I'm spending the day with the England squad. They asked me and Liv to come over so they can get to know us better.

Liv has met them a few times and she really hit it off with Chilly. They've met up a lot and have gotten really close. She is smitten with him and I can guarantee Ben will be whipped. All in all, they're a cute match.

"You are not going over there!" Harvey yelled. "You can't stop me. They're my friends and I want to spend time with them." I yelled back. "You're probably going to cheat on me. I wouldn't be surprised if you've slept with a couple of them already." He spat. I slapped him. "How fucking dare you. You know I wouldn't cheat on you." Harvey grabbed my wrists and pushed me against the wall, rage in his eyes. "Don't you ever do that again." He said angrily. "Harvey you're hurting me." I cried. He let go and walked away, not fazed by what just happened.

It's sad to say that I'm use to this. Whenever Harvey doesn't get his way he lashes out at me. I'm not really sure I love him anymore, I'm scared of what he might do to me if I do leave him which is why I'm still with him. He does have some good in him, he just rarely shows it nowadays.

I quickly put a hoodie on to cover the bruises that would soon appear.

I went over to Walker's and everyone was already there. I greeted everyone and sat down on the sofa next to Mason and Jack. Liv of course was cuddled into Ben.

"So what's the plan?" I asked. "Do you not know us at all?" Marcus asked, pretending to be shocked. "Fifa and pizza of course." Pickford said, making the boys cheer.

They're such big kids but I love them.

After a couple of hours, we ended up watching a film. We needed a timeout, well the boys did anyway; they were getting competitive and we didn't want any arguments.

Harvey had been messaging me all day but I didn't answer. I'm still mad at him from this morning.

I mentally groaned and went to the kitchen where it was quiet. Harvey doesn't understand that his words hurt me. I've been emotionally and physically abused by Harvey for months now. I've started to believe every negative thing he says about me is true, that I am a slag and things like that. It's damaging my mental health and I can't do anything about it.

"Hey Lex, are you ok?" A familiar voice asked behind me. I quickly wiped my tears and turned round to see Mason.

"I'm fine." I faked smiled. "I know you're lying. Come on tell me what's up." He said, standing next to me.

I explained what was going on with Harvey, how controlling and jealous he is. I missed out the part where he hurts me. I didn't want Mason getting worried and then telling my dad or doing something stupid.

"You know you're too good for him, you deserve someone better." Mason spoke softly.

I looked down at my hands, still holding back the tears. I can't believe I've been so open with Mason. I'm not like this at all but it felt good to actually tell someone what I'm going through with this relationship.

"Come here." Mason opened his arms out wanting a hug. I smiled and hugged him. Mason kissed the top of my head, his grip tightened around me.

Mason and I stayed in the kitchen longer than we thought. We were talking and laughing away together. This boy makes me so nervous and I get butterflies every time I'm near him or he hugs me. I don't get like this with Harvey or any of the other boys on the team. However, there is something about Mason, something that I can't work out.

Why does he make me feel this way? I mean he is extremely attractive but he wouldn't feel the same way.

Mason POV
All I can say is, I like her but I can't do anything about it. She's Gareth's daughter and he has made it very clear that no one can date her.

When she told me about what her relationship is really like with Harvey, I wanted to punch him so badly. How dare he treat her like this.

Lexie said she doesn't remember the last time they were both happy but she's too scared to leave the relationship. I would do anything to make her mine, to make her smile, to make her feel loved.

We got to know Lexie and Liv better tonight and they're both hilarious. We all laughed a lot. They both fit right in with us.

I'm making memories with my second family and living my best life. What more could a boy want?
