There was Askaz Castle, the fortress which helped the kings many times. "Askaz" meant "real", or, more precisely translated, "legend proven to be true", in the language of breim.
Breim are a nation of humans, who all lived in the north-eastern lands of Urus, the continent of life. They teached themselves to be great builders, their castles and houses precise, tactical, and long-living.
The walls of Askaz were covered with vines, which sprouted and made the castle look ancient. The vines were of an unique kind, called "lihoik" by the breim and "neverflame" by other folk. This rare plant's sap was preventing it from burning, and in forest fires the neverflame was always remaining green and fresh among the burnt to ashes tree trunks and gray earth. This plant, which was now covering much of the outerwalls' surface, was planted by King Engeth the Thinking, many hundred years ago.
Now, the lands of Breim, called Breimenoth, were ruled by King Onomash II. When he started his rule, he made sure everything in the kingdom was working like a fine clock - a rare craft he had in his throne room, on the wall over the entrance. The King's coat of arms was separated in two halves, top one white and bottom blue, connected by a neverflame vine and with a red X cross in the middle.
Breim were unusual in terms of kin. They were not alike by hair, eyes or skin, but spoke one language, had the same ideals, and believed "kin" is anyone who one trusts. Orphans were always welcome in families, bastards were provided the same rights as all people. Humans in Breimenoth were often of mixed blood, with ancestry of nymphs, fairies, elves and many other folk. The heritage of the king was mixed with elves, so it isn't strange that kings often ruled over Breimenoth for more than a hundred of years.
In Breimenoth, there were several cities and fortresses. To the south of Askaz, there was the city of Etto, set on the river of Etesh. There, on the coast, in a farmer's house, something was happening.
— Ejesil Loues, I only ask you to open the stock tower. — A man in a white cape and armor spoke, with several guards behind his back. This man was an old soldier, a captain of the King's Vanguards, the police that worked under the present king's rule. Opposed to the Peacekeepers, they were assigned more serious tasks that could affect the kingdom's well being.
