"I made it..." Y/n muttered to herself, standing outside her shop in a daze. After a few years of saving up and with the help of her aunt, she opened her very own flower shop. Y/n had pursued Botany as her degree in college, from her fond love of nature and plants. However, she couldn't further her studies and decided to do the next best thing she could. Which was starting a small-scale business

She had moved back to Sendai after 3 years; it was so nostalgic yet so different at the same time. For the last three years, she had moved in with her grandparents in the countryside for some privacy and to take care of them too

Now that she was back in Sendai, she was ready for a fresh start. She had just opened shop a week ago and had hired two sweet assistants to help around. They opened just in time for Valentine's day and received quite a few orders which made the young woman quite ecstatic. The chitter chatter of her young helpers broke her from her thoughts, and she walked back into her shop.

"What's going on?" She asked and one of them began bouncing up and down.

"Check it out, the Sendai Frogs are really killing it in this match!!!!" He cheered, pointing to his phone. Y/n swallowed, before she hummed and turned,

"That's great..."

She focused to trimming the stems of the fresh roses that were delivered today, cutting each stem delicately, placing them gently on the counter. She began second guessing if moving back to Sendai was such a good decision. She left abruptly, right after graduating from college, leaving her old life behind. She left social media, her friends and her ex-boyfriend, completely vanishing off earth for them. There was no trace of her except for one piece of paper she left him with. Two measly words,

'I'm sorry'

But she missed her home...

The countryside may have been peaceful, but she craved for the hustle and bustle of the city. Tokyo was too expensive for her to afford but out of sheer kindness, her aunt had gifted Y/n with her property in Sendai.

Y/n's mother had left a very young Y/n in the care of her aunt and grandparents after marrying another man and living her life with him. She never knew her real father, her grandfather was more than enough. Her family lived in Sendai up until she began college, however her grandparents couldn't handle the city life anymore, opting to move to the country where it was quiet. Shortly after, her adoring aunt also retired from her grocery store, moving to the country with them.

Sendai was the city where she could begin her future. She left the past behind her long ago.

Her eyes dreamily watched the different people cross past her shop window. All of them, so immersed in their own lives. She eyed a young couple by her shop front, happily smelling the flowers she had on display. Watching them in wonder, she found herself feeling lonely. Would she get another chance to fall in love again? With her circumstances it seemed impossible.

One of her assistants, Yua came out of the staff room.

"Y/n-san, Hotaru-kun needs you!"

Y/n shook from her thoughts, looking at Yua for a second before she realised,

"Oh! I'll be right back!" She untied her apron, rushing towards the stairs, making her way into her flat upstairs. Sure enough, she heard the sobs, making her way towards the source of the noise. Opening his door, she let out an awe, looking at her two-year-old, holding the side of the crib, whimpering.

"Mama" He extended his arms, opening and closing his palms, crying when he recognised her. She held him in her arms, cradling his head against her neck while she hushed him.
