With the match over now, both Maple and Chi-Ha-Tan team members exited their tanks in the town square they had just fiercely fought over. The Maple team rush over to help Hamada, Tamada, Kubota, and Nagura, along with their crews out of the rubble that had buried their tanks. The friendliness of the Maple team was on full display as they help the Chi-Ha-Tan team out.
Chi-Ha-Tan as well show their friendliness asking if the Maple team members were alright after such a grueling fight they had with one another. The spirit of Sensha-do was being shown to all of Japan and the world, that even after such a tough fight, at the end of the day they were all one big tankery family that look after one another.
Both sides came together after checking on one another, to trade warm greetings and handshakes. Share stories of how they saw the battle from their sides and laugh together, they already were looking forward to the next match they had, with the Maple members promising to give their all and Chi-Ha-Tan members raring already for another go at this team, that had the first team in a long time to show them any respect.
The show of sportsmanship, made both team commanders Miho and Vancouver smile as their teams came together.
"It was a really good match Miss Nishizumi," Vancouver said as she shook her hand.
"It really was, I was glad to experience such a match," Miho agree.
Vancouver took a deep breath, then spoke. "Well as you know, as the victor you get to take a tank from us to use."
"Oh?" Miho had forgotten that rule. "Well, could we please take a Valentine Mk 4 from you?"
"Certainly, I'll get the paperwork in order to see it's sent over to your school carrier," Vancouver said with a smile.
"And can I ask you one more thing?"
Vancouver raise an eyebrow. "Certainly, what's up?"
"Do you remember the name of the girl who looks like me in America?" Miho ask, wanting to put a name to the mysterious figure that look like her.
"Yea, Fukushu Nishizumi was her name," Vancouver reply.
"Oh, ok, thank you."
Vancouver put a hand on Miho's shoulder. "No prob, and good luck in the rest of the tournament. And remember you're using one of our tanks now, which means our team's spirit is with you all the way, so go win the final."
"Definitely, I'll use your tank to its fullest!" Miho reply excitedly. "If you please excuse me."
"Certainly," then Vancouver watch Miho run off to celebrate with her team. The third-year Maple student now had time to process everything. She had gone into this match with a thought to show the world how formidable a small school team could be.
Yet it was this small school of Chi-Ha-Tan that had given her the show. Yet with this defeat, she felt like her underclassmen could gain something from this, to help along with the building blocks that will take their team to new heights in the coming year.
"Commander?"
Vancouver turn around to meet her Vice commander Trout, the poor girl had tears in her eyes. "I...I..."
The Maple commander let out a lovely smile, then hug her crying junior. Making the girl cried harder now, with this loss their journey was done, now they had to go home with the shame of not even making the tournament. Her team would be nothing but a stepping stone in someone else's story, while they became an afterthought.
Yet Trout felt other arms embracing her, and turn to see Syrup and other members of their team form together into a mass hug. They were resolved to not let her feel the shame alone, they all had lost together as a team, yet they were also going to grow as a team from this defeat.
