Naru checked his text messages and frowned and furrowed his brow when he saw the picture of Hitomi and everyone else around the painting. Even though they covered most of it up with their bodies, he could still see the floor and walls had been damaged by fire, and he guessed the reason Hitomi, Yasuhara, Bou-san, and Ayako were all red correctly. Their grinning faces were annoying, given their condition. He texted Hitomi and asked her for the full story.
"What is it?" Luella asked noticing his expression.
"The idiots got themselves burned," Naru said, showing his mother the picture. "What was Madoka thinking, letting that happen?"
"I'm sure they had their reasons," Luella said. "At least the burns look like they should heal soon. I'm sure no lasting damage was done. Hitomi won't have any scars."
"She should take better care of herself," Naru said.
"Tell her that," Luella said. "She'll be more careful if she knows you're worried."
"Why should I worry? Hitomi can take care of herself," Naru said, but he added another text that said she should take better care of herself anyway so she wouldn't be so reckless. Luella caught a glance of it and smiled.
When Hitomi saw Naru's texts she smiled. She texted Naru the full story behind the picture.
When Naru read her explanation, he frowned and texted her back.
Hitomi checked her text messages then smiled wryly and sweat-dropped.
"Are you checking your texts from Naru?" Mai asked Hitomi, coming over to peek over her shoulder. She saw the text about taking better care of herself first. "Wow, he's worried about you." Then she saw his next text, which simply said: You're all idiots. 'Or maybe not...' Mai thought, sweat-dropping.
