Remember ~Dreamnoblade~ pt1

Yet another search

~hey... I'm back... it's been a week- I'm sorry about that dudes that's on me. I did sit down and start this book (first 200 words) but then I stopped also homecoming is tonight so I'm writing this at 6:00am... anyways I've jus been stressed after school like there are not enough hours in a day...

Dream wakes up in a chair with his head laying on his arms that are leaned on a bed. He looks up and sees Techno half sitting up, assisted by pillows, and reading a book.

He continues to look around and realizes he's in the castle's infirmary, and so are several other people; mostly those who had been down at the bottom of the pit.

He sees Tommy sleeping in a chair between two beds, one with Tubbo, the other with Ranboo. Sitting on Ranboo's bed is Philza, talking in a quiet un-hearable, from this distance, voice.

Dream continues to look around, seeing Toua curled up on the floor by his feet, not sleeping, just laying there. He also sees that Quackity is in the bed two away from Techno. It's eerily quiet in the room, causing an unsettling feeling to sink down into his bones. Something's off.

Dream sits there for not more than a minute before Karl opens the door, breaking the near silence, and walks right over to Dream.

He leans down to Dream's ear and frantically whispers, "The prisoners escaped. I think it was when I left to see what all the loud noises were. And I need help finding them. I have a few people who are willing to go with me. I'm going to tell them." Karl says, gesturing to the people who weren't in beds.

Dream froze slightly at words, Techno notices the change in Dream's body language and sets his book down on his lap, still holding it open.

"Dre-" Techno starts to ask what was going on but he stops when Dream scoots his chair back and leans over to the floor. At first Techno thought Dream was hurling his guts until Toua stands up, stretching like a cat.

Dream leans closer to Techno, brushing a few stands of hair out of the piglin hybrid's face before saying, "We have to go do something important, love. Don't worry about us, we'll be okay. I hate to leave you, but it's urgent." He lets his hand linger on the side of Techno's face before deciding to move his mask slightly to the side and kiss Techno on the forehead.

Techno gives Dream a small smile. "You better tell me what it is when you get back." He says.

"I will." Dream says, moving his mask back into place and standing up from his leaned over position. (😏)

Toua looks up at him with a blank face, no emotion readable.

Dream nods at Techno before stepping back and walking out of the infirmary, Toua not far behind.

Outside the castle is where they all gather before splitting up in pairs to search for the escapees. They had sent Jack into the castle to guard the infirmary given there's an uneven amount of them. The pairs were as follows: Tommy and Phil, Karl and Charlie, and Dream and Toua.

One pair would search the woods around the castle, the other two would search the woods that surrounded the presidential area. Toua and Dream would be in the woods around the castle.

They all split into their pairs and went there somewhat separate ways, all determined to get the prisoners back into custody. All except Toua, she liked the idea of a hunt more so that the idea of doing good.

"I think I should stay up in the trees." Toua says in an intentionally quiet voice. "That way if we see them or they see us they'll only expect it to be you." She adds. "Then I shoot them in the neck." She says with an odd smile on her face as she mockingly draws back her bow that wasn't loaded.

"Uh... we shouldn't kill them, unless we absolutely have to. You can shoot them in like the leg but no vital organs or arteries. And I think your idea is a good one." Dream says, tightening his mask a bit because he had loosened it before he went to sleep. He'd only slept for a few minutes but it had seemed like a few days had passed.

"You're no fun." Toua says, jumping up into a tree and disappearing within its leaves.

"Because I won't let you kill people?" Dream asks.

"Mhm." Toua makes a noise of agreement before jumping to the next tree.

"Okay." Dream says, letting a silence fall over them, which was probably better for the search. Dream had taken off his like green hoodie back at the castle, it would bring way too much attention to him, and Toua had put her bright hair up in a bun, making it easier for her to see and also keeping the hair more out of sight.

Almost an hour passes of them just in silence and searching the woods around the castle.

Dream stops when he hears a rustling in the bushes, he barely notices that Toua stops, only partially hearing it.

"Come out, guys." Dream says in a sing-song voice, not yet drawing his weapon.

"Look who it is." Sapnap says, stepping out of the bushes, followed by Sam and George.

Dream doesn't falter when Sapnap gets up close to his masked face.

"Well if it isn't ole Dreamy." Sapnap says, "Come out here to catch us? All on your own? Where's your little husband?"

"He's in the infirmary, no thanks to you guys." Dream says in a spiteful manner.

"Hey, we didn't place the tnt." Sapnap says, raising his hands to be beside his head. (Wee didn't start the fire-)

"But you were in on it." Dream says, "How else would you have known to escape when those went off?" He adds, taking a very small step closer to his once friend.

"Don't get mad at me, get mad at Wilbur, he came up with this whole plan." Sapnap says. "It's not like we could turn down an opportunity at escape."

"Don't try and make me feel bad for you. And don't try and make me think that you guys aren't horrible for what you did." Dream says.

"We're horrible? Have you looked at yourself?! Have you looked back at your past and thought about the things you've done?!" Sapnap yells in Dream's face, causing Dream's brain fog to start.

He tries to fight it but he can't, it's too much. He freezes and all he can hear is muffled and distorted yelling.

~awe shit. Here we go again with the brain fog. Anyways... hope you enjoyed, it's 7:00am now so I have to get up. My cousin is coming over this morning and then I'm going to homecoming with my friend and then after the dance we're having a sleep over and we're going to watch sinister. It'll be fun. And if I see my crush at the dance I think I might ask them to dance... idk I can't dance much with my knee being as jacked up as is it but we'll see. Wish me luck my lovlies!!!! :)
