Chapter 3

3rd POV: When Chloe and Trixie arrived home the lunch was almost ready and Lucifer was just sitting in the couch.

Trixie: Lucifer!! - she hugged him

Lucifer: Hey.. small human - she ran to the kitchen to get a snack

Trixie: Don't move! My mom is a cop!

Lucas: Oh no.. - he got down to her level - well I'm just making some lunch for everyone

Trixie: How did you get in here then?

Lucas: Lucifer opened the door for me

Trixie: You know Lucifer?

Lucas: Yeah..

Trixie: Isn't he the best?! He's funny, and he protects my mommy.

Lucas: Right..

Trixie: And I love to see him do stupid things and mom gets mad. It's funny. - she giggled - But how do you know Lucifer?

Lucas: Well.. he's my dad - she was chin dropped

Trixie: So if they become like boyfriend and girlfriend, then we become like brother and sister!

Lucas: In which you are the little sister - she looked serious at me and I smiled

Trixie: I'm the boss around here sir

Lucas: What about the blondie smart pants?

Chloe: Hey I heard that!

Trixie: My mom is a cop

Lucas: I know, she arrested me

Trixie: Even cops make mistakes

Lucas: Hahaha

Chloe: Hey I didn't arrest you. I just interrogated you

Lucas: True true.  - he got up

Trixie: You have a son? - she asked Lucifer who now was staying up

Lucifer: Well yes..

Trixie: You we're really young when he was born

Lucifer: No not really..

Lucas: Lunch is ready

Lucifer: Lunch - he rushed to the table to avoid the conversation with Trixie

They all ate a little bit of everything

Chloe: Wow Lucas, it's really good. Where did you learn how to cook?

Lucas: Around.

Chloe: You grew up here?

Lucas: No - she looked at him waiting for him to continue - I kind of grew up everywhere, a little bit here and there

Trixie: Your mom travels a lot?- Lucas looked at Lucifer

Lucas: Yeah, you could say that..

Lucifer: How dare she??

Lucas: Not right now.

They finished lunch. Dan was there to pick up Trixie

Trixie: Bye Lucifer. Bye Lucas it was nice to meet you

Lucas: You too kid

She left with Dan. Lucas offered to clean up before they headed back to the station and Chloe pulled Lucifer aside.

Lucifer: Something wrong detective?

Chloe: I know how stubborn you can be.. - Chloe held Lucifer's hand - But don't give up on him. I don't know what happened and why you haven't talked with each other for so long.. doesn't matter.. just.. promise me you'll try.. promise that you won't give up on him.. - Lucifer sighed 

Lucifer: I promise 

When everyone was done, they headed back to the station. 

Chloe: Ella said the girlfriend is here, we'll have her for interrogation. She said her boyfriend was abusive and didn't like the fact that she was friends with the victim

Lucas: I want to watch

Lucifer: You're not a detective

Lucas: Neither are you but yet here you are - Lucifer was about to say something

Chloe: It's fine, you can watch, quiet. I mean it - Lucas smiled and looked at Lucifer and he rolled his eyes. They walked into the interrogation room and Lucas was the last to get in

Lucas: Maggie?

Maggie: Lucas - she started crying and hugged him. Chloe and Lucifer looked at each other then at Lucas - He's gone Lucas..

Lucas: Henry? - she nodded - Your victim is Henry Miller? - she asked Chloe

Chloe: Yeah, how do you-

He didn't let them finish and stormed out of the room. Lucifer went after him and Chloe after Lucifer. He headed to the parking lot

Lucifer: Where are you going??

Lucas: Get the asshole that killed him

Chloe: You know who killed him?

Lucas: I have a pretty strong idea - he got into Lucifer's car and was about to drive away but Lucifer stand in the way - Move!

Lucifer: Get out of the car

Lucas: I'll take him to hell myself! Get out of the way!

Chloe: Lucas.. get out of the car, we will find him. This isn't the way to do this - Lucas slammed the wheel and got out of the car

Lucifer: Easy there!

They went back into the interrogation room

Lucas: What happened?

Maggie: What-

Lucas: Maggie! What happened?

Maggie: Henry was going through a hard time, his dad wanted him to go to laws school-

Lucas: Yeah yeah I know

Maggie: Oliver thought I was having an affair with Henry.. - she started crying - He left that night.. and the next morning Henry was dead

Lucas: Why you didn't come straight here?

Maggie: He said he would kill me too.. but I couldn't let him get away with it - she was compulsively crying - I loved him

Lucas: Oliver Perez, that's your killer. So find him before I do. - he left the room.

Lucifer: I'll handle him

Chloe: I'll find the suspect

Lucifer went after Lucas

Lucifer: So this kid, was he your friend?

Lucas: Sort of - he said without making eye contact with Lucifer

Lucifer: You have a past with the girl in there?

Lucas: Kind of

Lucifer: And you and this Oliver have-

Lucas: Look! - then he looked at him - I don't know what you're trying to do here, but if there's someone I don't need moral support from, that someone is you.

Lucifer: Alright..

Lucas: What are you doing here? Honestly. Since when does the devil work, and as a cop??

Lucifer: 2 years and counting

Lucas: And she doesn't notice you don't bleed?

Lucifer: I do bleed - Lucas stopped walking around and looked at Lucifer

Lucas: Come again

Lucifer: I bleed around her

Lucas: How?

Lucifer: She.. makes me vulnerable..

Lucas: What?

Lucifer: Long story short as they say.. I can.. well..

Lucas: What??

Lucifer: If I'm around her and I get severely hurt, I can well.. die
