My Hero Academia: The Rise of Ben 10, Book 2

The Bakugou Rescue Squad.

"Guys, before we go any further, there's something I need to tell you."

The night of the city's most crime filled district filled the air with it's blinding neon lights and sounds. One walking around here could almost believe they were walking around in Cyberpunk 2077 or a similar scifi city scenario with all that stuff. 

The tracker had led them here, but it was now when they were getting close that Kevin spoke up, pulling his jacket closer to his torso. 

Everyone turned to look at Kevin, also dressed in ordinary t-shirts and jeans, which was odd for them all considering they were so used to usually seeing each other in only their school uniforms or UA tracksuits. 

"Kevin, what's wrong?" Ben asked. "You having second thoughts? I mean it's okay if you are, you don't have to-."

"Don't piss me off Tennyson, I already decided I'm sticking with you. Katsuki may be your friend, but Kirishima's his numero uno. Which means you need one too, and that's me." said Kevin. "You're my best friend, if you even suggest that I'm gonna bail on you, I'll absorb this concrete and punch you into the street."

"O-okay that's violent." Ben squeaked. 

"Doesn't Kacchan always shout 'kill kill kill' though?" asked Izuku

"Yeah, but Kevin actually formed an eloquent detailed threat instead of a vague shouty one." said Ben. "That carries meaning.. and metaphorical intended pain.

"I aim to please." said Kevin. "Anyways, I'm sure by now, girls excluded, that you guys already have a notion about my dad being some big deal villain."

"Yes, I remember, it isn't information that's easy to forget." said Tenya. "Are you saying your father's involved in this?"

"That can't be right though yeah? According to you All Might took him down." said Kirishima.

Izuku remained silent, unusually silent, almost as if he was guessing what Kevin was about to say.

"Well he wasn't arrested." said Kevin. "And nobody knew if he survived, that is until new info came to light. Truth of the matter is, yesterday All Might came to me, and he told me the truth. He didn't sugar coat the issue because he knew that the rescue of Bakugou the pro heroes were attempting might involve my dad..  he's behind it all."

"He hired the league to kidnap Katsuki?" Ben asked.

"No, rather he IS the league." said Kevin. "He founded it all. He mentored Tomura Shigaraki. He is the Symbol of All Evil. They call him.. All For One."

Izuku closed his eyes and looked away for a moment, before looking back at Kevin. "Levin-san.. are you sure that All For One is behind this?"

"All Might is sure, so I'm sure." said Kevin. "Which means the situation we're approaching isn't just dangerous, it might just be suicide. I wouldn't normally even entertain it even considering I'm a delinquent even for a hero student.  But I know the Pro Heroes are there, so at least I want to be there, just in case.  My father won't harm me, because I'm what he calls his Backup Legacy."

"Backup legacy?" said Ben. 

"Meaning that in case Tomura was a failure, he was going to have me go on in his footsteps instead." said Kevin. "Truth is, Shigaraki is a puppet. My father wanted to alter him into a being of hatred so that he could use Shigaraki as his new vessel to replace his failing body."

There was a silent shock that filled the air, as people in the street walked by oblivious to the terrifying conversation taking place.

"H-how can he do that!?" stammered Kirishima. "Does he have a quirk for that?"
