There had been an ad online and all over tv. An up-and-coming company was compensating people to test out their new invention. It was essentially a 'love-bot'. It was a robotic companion programmed to act like a human, learn its owners preferences and behaviors, and adapt its own programming to be more likable to the owner. It was marketed for being a friend, lover, or caregiver. Curious, your muse decided to apply. Hundreds of thousands of people applied, but only a few hundred were selected to test the new creations. The media made a big show of the announcement, revealing the names on live television. At first it seemed like your muse hadn't been lucky enough, just like nearly all the other hopefuls watching the program. But then, the last name was revealed. There it was in big, bold letters, your muse's name.

When the package arrived, it arrived in some sort of pod. There was the company's logo on the sides and on the front it had the model's name: Aurinko. Underneath was a sun and a heart, which represented her main personality traits: happy and caring. She was just waiting to be turned on once the pod was opened. She looked like she was sleeping and if it hadn't been for the stillness of her chest, it wouldn't have been obvious she was a robot. She looked just like a human. Her red hair fell in curls over her shoulders and her long eyelashes were still, hiding her beautiful grey eyes. She was dressed in a simple white blouse and white skirt. She was barefoot. Clutched gently in her hand was a set of instructions on how to turn her on and get her booted up. In her other hand was a sealed letter from the manufacturers.

Your muse...?
