I feel once again

That old familiar feeling Buried under hurt and pain One I didn't know if I would ever feel again

I swore after her never again And so I settled for him

With him it was safe and secureWhat's there to hurt with no feelings involved? I planned a futureJust he and I

Passion? I convinced myself I didn't need it. I could plan a life with all I desired Nuclear they would call our familyBut it didn't feel that way

Safe.

Then there was her.

If i got out that old dusty list She wouldn't check every box Yet I felt my mind wonder to her almost every second of the day

She was all I wanted to think about. Talk about. Talk to.

I was under her spellbut it didn't hurt like beforeI didn't cry like before

I waited for her message out of excitement not anxiety

There was that old familar feelingThat one long forgotten Tainted by heartbreak I feel it again And I'm terrifed
