Louis' POV

Something was off.

When Eleanor rushed into his room at 7am, telling him that Simon had organised some promo in Paris, and that they had to leave immediately, he didn't question her. When she said that she had told Harry on the way to his room, he thought it odd, but again, didn't question her. When he saw his bags already packed he honestly felt happy, the second worst part was done.

But he did think it odd that El suggested he leave his phone behind, telling him that Harry and the boys knew to call her if they wished to speak to Louis. It wasn't exactly an unreasonable idea; he often wasn't allowed on his phone regardless during these trips. He has Harry's contact saves as Eleanor in his phone, in fear that some fan would see a lovey-dovey message pop up from the bandmate. And since El and him only every talk about promo and times of shows, he has her contact saved as Harry. It was confusing at first, but probably for the best.

He was in the jet now, bored out of his mind and half asleep, wishing that he could message his boyfriend. His head was clearer now, and he did realise it was odd that Paul wasn't with them.

The man was a godsend, somehow managing to be a father type figure to all of the boys, while at the same time managing all of their shows, since they all knew their team was hopeless. There were the rare gems, like Lou, and Caroline, who legitimately cared about the boys, and listened when they ranted, comforted when they cried. They did what they could. Louis once overheard Lou speaking to a friend of hers, saying that the only reason she kept the job was because she wanted to make sure Lux didn't loose her godfather. Louis cried for a bit after that.

When the plane landed Louis looked out, seeing a few people from their security team coming up the steps to get them. He stretched, and looked over to Eleanor, who was packing things into her handbag that had made their way out during the flight.

And as they were escorted to the hotel, Louis had a sinking feeling in his stomach.

Harry's POV

Harry was hysterical.

The feeling of abandonment was astounding, pulling his heart down to his feet and his shoulders to the ground. They boys were all in his room, trying to comfort and quieten the sobbing lad, but to no avail. Louis had left. He left, without a word. He knew Zayn was furious with him; he knew of their agreement, and couldn't understand why the brown haired man would do this.

Harry eventually tired himself out, clinging to Niall's shirt, burning tear tracks on his face. He fell asleep like that, the boys surrounding him, all either touching his back or hair, doing a job that wasn't theirs. They were all happy to, of course. But the question hung in the air.

Where in hell was Louis?
