Melodious music was heard in Kiyomi's living room. She never felt peace like this before; her mind was at ease, and spending a night with Ran made her forget everything that happened yesterday.

Kiyomi's eyes were fixated on the screen of her laptop. She's currently writing a news article about juvenile delinquency. She's done cooking and is only waiting for Ran to arrive so the two of them can dine together.

She played with her hair while reading an article online about a gang fight back in 2006 known as the Kanto Incident. A gang fight of 50 vs. 400 delinquents took place at a seaport in Yokohama, and after a fierce battle, three delinquents were pronounced dead and one in critical condition.

Thinking about it, Kiyomi's head hurt a little; therefore, she took off her reading glasses, closed her eyes, and messaged them before messaging her head.

Suddenly the doorbell rang, and Kiyomi immediately stood up to get to the door, thinking that it must be Ran. Kiyomi tied her hair up into a bun and took a deep breath before turning the doorknob to open the door.

Kiyomi was astounded; her cheeks heated up, and her eyes went round upon seeing Ran on her doorstep with a bouquet of sunflowers in his hand and an orange cat in his arms. She was frozen in her feet, seeing a broad smile on his face.

Ran was looking extra handsome today, dressed in a black sweatshirt and cropped trousers with a beige coat and heavy browline sunglasses. His hair was styled into a quiff, not his usual hairstyle, which is short and gelled to the side.

Ran took off his sunglasses, showcasing his adoring violet orbs. "Hi, good afternoon." He greeted Kiyomi affectionately, handing the bouquet of sunflowers to her.

Kiyomi humbly receives the flowers with her flustered cheeks and feeling butterflies in her stomach. She wants to jump out of romantic excitement, but she doesn't want to act weird in front of Ran.

"A sunflower?" she wondered, adoring the beautiful Heliantheae. Ran hummed. nodding at Kiyomi. "Roses are now too common, and I want to give you something unique and special," Ran explained.

"It said that a sunflower is perfect to send to your loved one if you want to express exactly how much you adore him or her," he expressed sincerely, looking into Kiyomi's eyes. The sunflower symbolizes unwavering faith and unconditional love.

"And just like a sunflower, you always bring a smile to my face," Ran continued. Kiyomi was speechless and dumbfounded. Was this how the infamous Ran Haitani of Roppongi courted a woman?

"So, do you fancy me?" Kiyomi concurred, tilting her head to one side while waiting for Ran's response. Ran had been thinking about confessing to Kiyomi since last night, and with Bonten's help, he got the courage to tell her how he truly felt.

Ran didn't think twice and professed what he felt: "I like you...since the night I met you." Ran's feelings seemed unclear at first, but being with her every day gradually conveyed his hidden affection.
