Article 123 of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States is one of the most important articles of the Mexican legal system. This article mentions that everyone has the right to decent work and that the state must promote the creation of jobs in society. Also, this article establishes what is necessary to regulate everything related to jobs. Some of the rights established here are:
1) The duration of the working day will not exceed eight hours;
2) Workers must have at least one day off in the week;
3) Workers have the right to strike.
Due to the existence of this constitutional article and the Federal Labor Law of Mexico, the rights of workers are protected.
