Okay listen. This has to do with old drama but fuck it. If you were born after 9/11 YOU didn't lose family. Your mom, dad, cousins, aunt's uncles, anyone who was born before 9/11 (and are old enough to remember) lost family. You didn't lose shit.
Ik that sounds rough but come on guys! How can you lose someone you never met! You lose the opportunity to make memories with them. That's it! I never met my biological grandfather because he killed himself! Now on the contrary I'm probably going to lose my grandpa (my grandma's new husband) because he has cancer. That's two different things!
I lost the opportunity for memories. I didn't lose family (so to speak. Technically I did but they never met me and I never met them. It's more of a blood relationship than family. Like yk my grandma is family but her first husband isn't like- close family because I never met him)
