chapter two

"There was a bad guy in house but he's gone now " said lyndy.

"Okay " said Jim .

"Can we go back into the house? it's cold out here " said Katie

"Yes we can " said Jim .

Lyndy reached out for Ty .

Ty grabbed lyndy and started heading back into the  house including Jack who was sitting on the porch holding his gun.

In the house.

Jim took pictures of the broken window.

"Was anything taken?" He Asked .

"Considering how fast everything happened I highly doubt it " said Amy .

"Okay" said Jim.

Everyone sat down in the living room.

Amy sat down on the couch.

Ty sat down beside her putting one arm around Amy while still holding lyndy with the other.

"Can you take me through what happened?" Asked Jim .

"Hey lyndy why don't you and Katie go finish your tea party" Amy suggested.

"Okay " said lyndy running off with Katie.

After Katie and lyndy were out of earshot Amy started to explain the events of the night.

" what did the guy look like?" Asked Jim.

" I didn't see his face it was dark and he was wearing all black" said Amy trying her best to stay calm .

Lyndy came back into the living room.

"Mommy?" Asked lyndy

"I'm right here honey " said Amy.

"I don't feel like playing.

"Okay come here " said Amy picking lyndy up .

Suddenly Amy's face changed.

"Kate went up to bed"  Ty informed her.

Amy let out a sigh of relief.

"I want to sleep with you  and Daddy " said lyndy.

"You're going to don't  worry said Amy.

An hour later.

The borden family were all in bed together

Ty held Amy and lyndy close not wanting to let go.

"How are you doing?" Asked Ty.

"I'm okay " said Amy.

"Drop the act babe " said Ty softly.

"What?" Asked Amy.

"Honey you're shaking " said Ty softly.

"I Know and I don't want to talk about it " Amy snapped.

Ty didn't mind her tone.

He knew how scared Amy was even if she didn't want to admit it.

2 days later.

Amy was just getting lyndy breakfast when she saw Andrea's car pull up.

Amy pulled lyndy's breakfast on the table.

"Thank you mommy " said lyndy smiling.

"You welcome" said Amy kissing lyndy's head.

Amy walked into the living room where Ty was sitting on the couch.

" what is Andrea doing here?" Asked Amy.

" I Told her we would watch Luke" said Ty.

"ARE YOU INSANE?" Yelled Amy.

Ty stood up .walked over to where  Amy was standing and gently placed his hands on her shoulders.

"Breathe honey it's okay " said Ty.

" does Andrea know?" Asked Amy .

"Yeah she said she trusts us '  said Ty  .

"She should trust you " said Amy.

"Hey you're amazing " said Ty kissing Amy's head.

That afternoon

Amy was making lunch and the kids were sitting at the table waiting.

Ty walked up behind Amy and hugged her.

Amy immediately kicked Ty where the sun didn't shine.

Ty immediately doubled over in pain.

"Oh that had to hurt" Luke commented .

"Oh my God Ty I'm so sorry " said Amy realizing what she had just done.

"It's okay I'm fine " said Ty standing up as the  pain subsided.

Amy ran away in tears.

5 minutes later.

Ty found Amy sitting on the floor of their bedroom sobbing and shaking  uncontrollably.

Ty sat down beside her and put an arm around her making sure he was seen first this time.

"I'm a terrible person " said Amy through tears.

"No you're not You're amazing " said Ty softly.

"I just kicked you in the balls because you tried to hug me" said Amy sobbing.

"it's okay I shouldn't have snuck up on you like that " said Ty.

"Even if that's true I'm still a terrible mother" said Amy.

"That's completely untrue " said Ty.

"I can't even protect our daughter " said Amy .

"But you did babe You're the reason Katie and lyndy are okay that's all you " said Ty.

"No you don't understand I was terrified I still am " said Amy still crying.

"That's because You're human even Jack wants to get a security system.

" it doesn't help My face hurts it's like a constant reminder of what happened" said Amy  .

Do you need some ice?"Asked Ty.

"No I just want to feel safe" said Amy.

"I'll keep you safe " said Ty reassuringly.
