It feels like my heart just exploded when I walk into Science.

There is a new kid sitting behind my seat.

His name is Spencer, and he is the hottest teenage boy I have ever seen. It's love at first sight. I can't help staring lovingly at his dirty blond curls and his ocean-blue eyes that are focused on a piece of paper. He wears a red t-shirt reading I'm A Survivor. Whatever that means.

I feel his breath creeping up my neck as he leans in closer. Does he like me? Does he notice I'm getting all nervous?

" So what period is this?" he asks finally. My heart sinks just a tint bit; I was hoping he would compliment me on my hair or something.

" 3rd," I reply. "Math."

" Thanks." Spencer grins. "Glad to see that someone would help me. The other boys - I don't know what their problem is - but they ignored me."

" No problem." I can feel the sweat forming on my forehead. " Um, I'm Eliot."

" Spencer." he says and then shakes his head. " I'm so confused at this school. I just moved from Oregon for my dad's job."

" Cool. I've lived here my entire life. Sometimes I wish we moved so we could do something fun, I get bored here a lot." I try and keep the conversation going but end up looking like an idiot. "Not because its bad here, don't worry... I didn't mean -"

Spencer laughs. " I know what you mean! You seem nice, Ellie. Eliana? Or Eliot? Sorry." he runs his fingers through his hair, embarrased.

" It's fine." I giggle, not taking my eyes off of his cute, chubby face. Our eyes meet, and we both laugh. I think I found the guy. I know I found the guy.

But what if he finds out I'm a witch? What am I saying? He'll never have to know.

As long as we're not sweeping, making potions, or standing outside on halloween...
