Hello ! We meet again after over two hellish years
It's been brought to my attention that people haven't been able to read desolate, and well, here's a rundown of the situation. Wattpad has permanently removed desolate from my account and the reason I've been given is that restricted content appeared in the book which violates the terms of service.
Wattpad has seen an immense change from when I first started writing this book in 2013/2014, until its end at the beginning of 2019. I recognize my fault in this, and although it pains me to lose my most read book on here... it is what it is.
As a dumb youth™ when I started writing this book, I had the audacity to do something as ballsy as include gifs from Tumblr dot com to the smut/mature content chapters that take up the first quarter of the book because it instigated reactions, and therefore, interactions (of readers remember). Since most of the media were removed because of Tumblr expunging restricted media from their own site, and the gifs attached to early desolate chapters were more or less unable to be seen, I thought I wouldn't need to do the tedious work of going through all the smut chapters to remove them
well
I'm sorry if this has inconvenienced anyone, but I'm hopeful that moving forward people will still be around when I repost the book without gifs. It's sort of a blessing in disguise because this has motivated me to go back and edit out the horrible spelling errors and cringe content of the early chapters [[looking @ u chapter o n e - f o u r]]. Desolate gained some form of resurgence after it ended, which kinda terrified me, but thank you for your support !
Since this has all happened so fast, I'll let y'all know what kind of posting schedule this will have via announcements. Until then, please save this book in your library again if you like, and spread the word to your friends and other readers.
