Ch27 - To Fall Into Enemy Hands
Ba Mei wasn’t a kitty who would get close to just anyone. For it to have relaxed in Ji Xiunian’s embrace meant that it really liked him—

Like the three who had been sent by the Grim Reaper Bureau before, they had been won over by the enemy as if they had no principles.

However, the sentence ‘Looks like it likes you too’ held another layer of meaning to the others who heard it.

“As expected, the cat follows its master. You like Nian ge, so Ba Mei also follows and likes Nian ge.” Shen Chengyu was the closest to them, and heard the “too”, so he couldn’t help but come up with his own explanation.

Lu Xu didn’t elaborate, he only curved his lips in a smile. “Ba Mei is quite heavy. Nian ge, you don’t need to keep holding it.”

When confronting Lu Xu, the staff also used a very gentle tone of voice, not wanting to make this good-looking young boy feel bad.

It didn’t need any of the staff to carry it either. It used its own elegant little steps to slowly walk towards the door.
