- his mother was neglectful and abusive which later passed onto Doug as he wasn't the best husband or father to his wife and daughter
- he deeply regrets what he did
- Bierce tries to help him so he can ascend to heaven instead of being stuck there like other souls because do Malak who wants his soul

Facts:
- she only married her husband for wealth
-she's an actress or former one
- she resorted to murder to sell her own soul to malak
- she somehow managed to stay in "the ballroom"
-helps Doug on his adventure to collect shards for the riddle to heaven
-she's arrogant, cold-hearted and narcissistic but is kind enough to help Doug
-powerful than she looks

- they chase after you to try and kill you
- chef monkey's are the bosses
- it is said that the souls of vicious, bloodthirsty killers have gotten their soul taken by malak and are now the monkey's themselves(theory I saw and I like the theory)
- eyes turn red when in a frenzy
