Shades of Life

24 4 6

He is the darkness ; she is the light.
He,a shade of grey and black.
She, a shade of yellow and pink.

But like the opposite poles of a magnet,
They pull each other closer.
Like the discrete pieces of a mosaic,
They complete each other.

With her smile,
She calms down the demons,
Swirling in his grey eyes.

Behind his scars,
She sees an unrecognised hero,
Hiding behind a villain's mask.

He finds his joy in her,
As she shows him the bright shades of life.

He feels the darkness inside him vanishing,
When she reaches out to him.

Together, they unfold their fairy tale,
Promising not to let go.

I enjoyed writing this poem very much.
Actually I was inspired by the book 'knowing Xavier Hunt' by @scarlettblackdaisy. It was such an amazing book that I fell head over heels for it 🥰
