-I personally think that there was no love between them. Ginny just dated Dean to make Harry jealous and to feel loved for at least a bit. But it wasn't put of love. Ginny loved Harry at the moment they were dating and was never truly in love with Dean. Plus, I really doubt than an energetic Quidditch player would fit with a calm painter. That is simply not my cup of tea.
