A combination for healing after a long battle with grief—and the spiraling start to what could become a lack of will.
While the two counter themselves with the sheerness of fire and snow, between them, at the border of them touching, there is a middle-ground.
For Mercedes, that middle-ground was Garreg Mach Monastery.

I've written several works in the past, but mainly original pieces, so that's why I'm still finding my why through the genre as I go.
As I publish chapters, I'll let you all know that they are subject to change at any moment. Really, just because I'm what could be called a 'bouncy' writer. I may put chapters up and later realize an element or a characterization could've been elaborated on, or a dialogue wasn't as impactful as I'd first thought.
I love going back to change some aspects of my story so I can get closer to achieving what I visualized my idea as, so, once I start publishing, if any of you guys find things that could've been better written, please let me know via comments, or even my message board. I want to make this one of the best written FE fanfics out there—which is ambitious, I know, but I simply adore this couple, and that's why I think they deserve my best possible effort.
With that said, what won't change, however, will be the focus of this fanfiction.
Dimitri and Mercedes.
I'll be writing about pre and post-timeskip storylines regarding the two, and include supports from the game itself and some I've personally crafted.
Expect for the fanfic to follow the story of Azure Moon loyally—with some twists thrown in, of course.
If you guys aren't aware, there was cut content in the Azure Moon route regarding a 'split', where certain characters of the Blue Lions would betray your party if your choices as Byleth went against their motives. This'll be included in the fanfic—mainly because I think that that was a great idea that was missed out on in-game—as well as inter-House recruitment. In the game, Byleth is the only professor able to recruit students from other Houses into his own, but for the sake of progression, other Houses besides the Blue Lions will also be able to recruit students.
I hope that this short information helps you guys get an idea of what this fanfic will focus on—I'm excited to start publishing!
