If I Died

If I died today,
The world would remain the same.
Clocks keep ticking, Nights keep falling;

Yet I died today.

And nothing will remain the same
Because I'm no longer there.
But who would care?

You?

Did I mean that much in your life
That if I died,
You would mind?

I change nothing.

Not the world, not your life;
Not even mine.
Because I was alive and now I'm not.

And nothing's changed.
