The Musician

In a day placid and boring
When owls are asleep and snoring

A man walked down a street
In his hand was a music sheet

He looked at those notes closely
Truly they were written poorly

They would make one's ears hazy
For these notes were idle and lazy

Frustrated and flustered
Gloom in his heart was clustered

He thought of his music dreary
His mind was now left in a pit weary

As he passed by, he saw someone coming
He heard a voice softly humming

It swayed and swept to his ears
It soothed his heart and brought him to tears

He listened to her with heed
In his heart was now sown the love's seed

He saw her face beautiful and dazzling
He felt his heart burn with a love baffling

He threw another glance at those notes and grinned
And so he threw his music sheet to the wind

For he found a music delicate and new
A girl painting his heart with rosy hue

Yes, notes should weep for your wispy hair
Songs should sing for you with heat and care

In the little garden of my heart which holds you dear
Lilies wish to be reaped and put behind your ear

Those mesmerizing pearly eyes that glitter
Made this heart to many a flutter and flitter

And as his heart was rapidly drumming
She was lost with her voice softly humming

Her sweet music he could no longer hear
For she was nowhere to be near

He floundered, there he remained
Sun hid herself and then it rained

I shall sing, sing, sing for your graceful mien
'Til my music reaches your ears I'll remain in this rain.
