Emily's pov:
We finally got to the building. The police sirens blaring. News reporters everywhere. I had to stop myself from physical beating the shit out of each one of those bastards. It was the top headline all over the country. "FBI agent kidnapped, still not found" JJ deserved more than that. Nothing was fair.

"Agent Prentiss what can you tell us about the whereabouts of agent Jareau?" Some news reporter was following me from my car. More than 10 different cameras are surrounding the warehouse. "No comment." I mutter. "Agent prentiss! Agent prentiss!" The voices getting quieter as I walked farther away from the police tape that they couldn't cross.

JJ was in the building. I prayed that she was in there alive. She was being tortured by Tivon Askari for information. I walked up and found Hotch, Spencer, Morgan, Rossi, and a new agent, Dr. Tara Lewis. We had just met today when I flew back from London to help JJ. I needed to be there for JJ. "Emily I'm glad you're here. We're getting ready to invade the building." Hotch said sternly.

Swat when in first and then us. "CLEAR!" I heard people shouting all over. "No she has to be here." I think to myself. Where is she? Then I hear a quiet cry. It was so quiet that I almost thought I made it up. But I didn't. She was here. She was here somewhere.

I run around the abandoned warehouse. Finally I go through one of the doors shutting it behind me. There she is. JJ was hanging by handcuffs from the ceiling. I couldn't get a good look at her because someone was standing in front of her. He turns around. Askari. He sees me and reaches for his gun. Before he can grab it I shoot him straight through the head. He falls to the floor.

Then I can actually see JJ. She's completely naked except for a bra. She was covered in big bruises and blood. Tears were falling down her face. Shaking and letting out tiny cries for help. I take her down from the chains. "Emily." She murmurs. "I knew they'd call you."

I take off my fbi jacket and put it around her. She zips it up and reaches for her sweat pants wincing in pain. "JJ." I whisper. "Emily help me." She says her voice cracking. I nod slowly and grab her sweat pants. I help her into them. She tries to reach for her shirt and underwear that were thrown on the floor.

"Jennifer.." I say tears threatening to fall from my face. "He hit me. That's it." JJ said her voice trembling. She shoved the clothes into the inside of the jacket as the rest of the team came in followed by swat. "JJ!" Spencer says as everyone lets out a sigh of relief. She was alive.

"We have movement on the west side of the building." One of the swat members says. Before anyone could stop her JJ ran out. I followed her close behind. It was Michael Hastings. We saw him run up to the roof as JJ dodged bullets from him.

JJ was ducking behind a electrical box on the roof. I ran out to Michael and right hooked him right in the face. I hated him. I hated what he did to JJ. He stumbled to the floor before quickly getting up and trying to grab his gun which I knocked out of his hands. He tried to punch me but I ducked out of the way. We fought until my hands were bleeding. Then JJ came out as I fell back.

She punched him and he slid off the roof pulling JJ off with him. I let out a scream of horror. I dove to the edge and grabbed her hand right as she fell. She clung to my hand for her life as we both watched Michael splat onto the pavement below. I pulled JJ up as people starting coming onto the roof.

The team, swat, and of course news reporters. But at the moment I didn't care. JJ collapsed into my arms as we sat on the floor. She was shaking and hurt but she wouldn't let herself cry. JJ didn't cry. She dug into her nails into my back refusing to let go. "I love you JJ." I whispered to her. "Don't leave me." JJ whimpered into my shoulder. "I won't." I promised her.

I rode with her in the ambulance. She started to lose consciousness as the pain set in. "No pain medicine. Don't give me any pain medicine." She said softly. "But ma'am-" I cut the paramedic off. "She said no pain medicine." He just nodded. I squeezed JJ's hand as she started to fall asleep. "It's going to be okay." I whisper to her softly.

Now the whole team was waiting in the waiting room of the hospital. JJ was taken into surgery but her chances were looking really good. Finally a doctor came out "family of Jennifer Jareau." She called. We all stood up. "Jennifer made it out of surgery. She's awake now but she needs to rest. You can see her in the morning." The doctor said. "What happened to her?" Spencer asked. I felt a knot in my stomach.

"I think she'd want to tell you on her own. When she wants too" I said firmly. Everyone nodded slowly. Tara gave me a funny look though. The doctor continued. "Yes that's right. She asked me not to share the extent of her injuries with anyone. She will tell you when she's ready."

The doctor walked off. "Why doesn't everyone go get some rest at the hotel. We'll see her in the morning." Hotch said. Everyone agreed. "I'm going to stick around." I said. He nodded as everyone left to their hotel rooms. We were about a 5 hour jet ride away from home and we would probably leave tomorrow when JJ was out of the hospital.

I waited in the room for a long time. I couldn't sleep. Finally at around 3:30 am a nurse walked in. "Hello, I'm sorry are you Emily prentiss?" She asked me. "Uh yeah that's me." I nodded. "Okay good. Jennifer was asking for you. I think she could use someone right now if you'd like to go see her." The nurse said. I nodded and followed her to a room. The nurse walked away and I stood in front of the door. Finally I took a deep breath and walked inside.

I shut the door behind me and closed the blinds. JJ was a private person. "Hey sweetie." I say softly. I look over at JJ. She had a big black eye. Her lip was busted and the parts of her arms that were showing were covered in bruises. "Emily." JJ breathed out. "I'm fine." She said when she noticed me looking at her. "I'm fine."

I sat down on the edge of the bed and cupped her cheek in my hand. "You know there was a little girl once. She had a sister that she loved so much. And her sister was hurting. But she wouldn't admit it. And when her sister died that little girl thought not admitting fear or hurt made you strong. But that's not true. She went through so much before she even turned 18. Things she didn't deserve. She was just A child." I ran my thumb over her cheek.

"I deserved it." JJ whimpered. "No baby you didn't. You were still a child." I pulled her into a hug. "A child" she whispered with tears in her eyes. I sat on the bed next to her and she buried her head in my shoulder. I could feel the tears on my shirt. I softly kissed the top off her head and drew small circles on her back. We sat there all the way until morning.

It was around 8:30 in the morning when I heard a knock on the door. I got up and opened it. It was the team. "Oh hey emily." Spencer said. "Can we see JJ?" I looked over at JJ and she nodded slightly. "But don't leave." She whispered just loud enough so I could hear. "Of course not." I smiled slightly opening the door.

I sat down in a chair next to JJ's bed and she held my hand under the blanket. "So how are you feeling?" Tara asked her. "I'm fine." JJ lied. "Well the doctor said you were getting released today so we can go home." Rossi said with a smile. "Yeah I really want to go home." JJ said with a slight laugh.

Everyone talked for a bit until finally a doctor came in. "You're getting discharged. You'll just have to follow up with you're doctor back home but everything's looking pretty good." She said handing JJ a form to sign. She signed it and gave it back and the doctor walked out. JJ couldn't stay alone for a while so I told her that she could stay with me.

Everyone walked out so JJ could change and get ready to leave. "I got you some clothes." I say handing them to her. She smiles slightly. She tries to get out of bed but immediately winces in pain. "JJ let me help you please." I say. Her knee was broken and her face and stomach were covered in bruises. Her arms were bandaged so I couldn't see them.

"No you can't see them." JJ said quietly. I knew she was talking about the scars. I didn't know exactly what she had went through but it was bad. "Then I won't look." I tell her. "Promise?" She whispers. "I Promise."

I lock the door and make sure that the blinds are completely closed. I sit down behind her. "Ready?" I ask. She just nods. I slowly untie the back of the hospital gown. I keep my promise and don't look at any of the scars as I slide the long sleeve shirt over her head. It was one of mine that I had grabbed from the hotel. I help her into a pair of jeans. She leaned back into me. "All done." I whispered.
