Chapter LIX

It's already night time and you are done cooking for your dinner. After eating, Daisuke give you a quick forehead kiss before walking outside the mansion. You took care of the dishes before you walked out of the house to stare at the moonlight. Since there are cliffs all around the mansion, the cold air of the night is felt.

You see Daisuke at the edge of the cliff while staring at the nothingness in front of him. It seems like he's drowning in his thoughts.

You walk towards him and stand beside him. You look down the cliff and your throat went dry as you see the intense gushing of water below. You look at Daisuke beside you and he's still silent while being lost in thought.

"Have you ever kept a secret, Daisuke?" You asked out of nowhere and you can't understand why you stated those.

He remained calm before looking at you. You feel your heart melting with his gaze. He looks at you as if he's scanning your face.

"Probably."

"I guess I should just think of it as a 'yes'," You chuckled and stared at the full moon just above the both of you, "It's hard to keep a secret, yeah?"

The cold breeze touches your skin, "I want to kill someone." Daisuke muttered and it made you freeze in your place.

You nodded as you still stare at the moonlight, "I do feel the same." You replied, "There are times when we just want to get rid of the people we hate the most, it's inevitable, and I can't blame you."

"Should I kill that person, (Y/N)?" Daisuke asked and it made you smile sadly.

"If you have the courage to kill someone, then that certainly means you desire to kill that person." You replied, "I killed a lot of people, Daisuke, and every time I see my hands... I can see crimson red stains that will never disappear. Deep inside me, I am silently praying that I want to change the past and kill myself before anyone died because of me."

"At this moment, are you afraid to die?" He asked calmly.

"I deserved to get punished after all that I've done. I guess living is the greatest punishment for all my sins, Daisuke, but to answer your question... I don't mind dying," You smiled and continued staring at the moon, "As long as you're safe, I'm fine with that. It is also my wish to die in your hands, at least... I'll be able to see you one last time."

"I will never let them kill you, (Y/N)," Daisuke whispered, "I will protect you from all of them."

You nodded and smiled a little, "I will protect you, too, Daisuke."

"Will you close your eyes?" He asked calmly.

Your heart is beating fast since you are literally on the edge of the cliff. Daisuke can literally push you off it and you'll die immediately but because you trust this hot man beside you, you did as he asked. You close your eyes and you can hear the sounds of the water's impact from down below.
