You were taking a break from the training with the specialists, staring into the distance not paying attention.
There he was, sitting down next to you the guy you half hated half loved Riven... you guys were kinda close before IT happened
Three months ago...
You were about to knock on Riven's door seeking some sort of comfort from your friend because you got a letter from your biological father dragging up all the trauma he gave you back up
when You heard Sky say "Do you like y/n?" Your breath hitched "Does he like me?" You thought "What! of course not why would I like someone like them." Riven said disgustedly. Your heart felt like it shattered a little more. you ran back to your suite, when you were finally alone in your room you silently sobbed. "He didn't even have to like me in that way but acting that disgusted by the idea of liking me truly hurt...." You thought, after that day you avoided him even when he tried to talk to you, you just acted like you were too busy to talk
*Present*
"Why does he have to sit by me?" you thought
"What's up, hot stuff?" He smirked
you mentally gasped ...
"What the actual hell? you've gone from being disgusted by my very existence to flirting with me, fake flirting with me or whatever." you said finally let your building up pain out.
At that very moment, he realized why they were avoiding him for all those months
Those words he said to pretend like he didn't like them because how can arsehole like him that's mean to everyone like such a lovely and kind person
"You heard what I said that day? I-" Riven said
"Just don't I've been done with this situation for months." You said getting up your eyes on verge of crying, you rushed to the suite entering and closing the door feeling your emotions on the very edge of bawling your eyes
*knock* *knock*
"Go away Riv." You said your old nickname for him slipping out, a tear slipped down your cheek
"y/n/n please let me come in..." he pleaded.
Wiping your cheeks off of any residue that you were crying.
Slowly opening the door you came face to face with Riven...
"What? I don't need a pity party" you said annoyed
"I.... just wanna tell you why I really said that." he said
"Oh, that you were so disgusted by the very idea of liking someone like me." you rolled your eyes...
"Actually I umm didn't mean that... I can't believe I'm saying this but I kinda sorta like you but I couldn't tell anyone then because how can a douchebag like me like someone so kind and loving like you" Riven said surprisingly nervously. Your heart started racing
"What? I.. I...I" You stuttered
"I umm kinda sorta like you too..." You said biting your inner lip nervously
"But how am I supposed to trust you not to break my heart, if the very first man that I was supposed to trust broke my heart?"
Lowing your head a few tears slipping out
"But what if I don't?" Lifting your chin then holding your cheeks wiping away your tears
"What if we fall deeply in love?" Riven said
"The great Riven is gonna fall for little old me?" You jokingly said while softly smiling
"Can I kiss you?" He said
"Yeah" you said sorta nervously
Your lips met... Kissing softly his hands still holding your cheeks, your hands holding his arms, the feeling going throughout both of your guys bodies that only the sound of crisps leaves, the smell of bonfire on a cold winter's night could make, or a kiss from the person you dearly desired it from...
The door creaked opening and closing Bloom comes walking in not paying attention looking at the book in her hand.
"I can't believe Riven walked out of training I-" she said half gasping at the end, looking up.
Finally breaking out of your guys own little world hearing bloom talking pulling apart but you both still have an arm on each other
"oh... I'll just go"
Awkwardly walking to her room then peeking her head out of her room "also really Y/N? Riven?" She half-jokingly said "oh eff off Bloom" Riven said, Bloom chuckles then shakes her head going back to her room. Hiding your face in Riven's chest hugging him awkwardly laughing "are you laughing at this?" He says looking down at you, hearing the smirk in his voice "maybe... and umm that was something..." You said
"It was. Wasn't it?" He says wrapping his arms around you, softly kissing the top of your head
"Also How did you hear me that day?" He said
Your heart ached at remembering that day
"I umm was going to see you to seek some comfort from you because I got a letter from my biological father... when I heard Sky" You said as tears slipped out. He pulled apart from the hug to look at you "oh love..." he said wiping away your tears "I'm so sorry." He said "at least you're here now" you said softly smiling "Yeah.. I'm glad" kissing your forehead hugging you, you hugged back
"I got you... you can always talk to me" he said rubbing designs in your back
"Thank you... and I got you Riv." you whispered...
"My little fire fairy.. Are the candles supposed to act like they're gonna burn the place down little fairy?" Riven asked you looked up at him
"I'm most definitely not little... ok maybe in height and What?" You said then Looked around, the candles in the suite all had big flames "Umm no... they are not..." you said awkwardly "I guess, my emotions are still not fully calm" you said "Maybe this will help" he said then grabbing your cheeks and kissing you.. all the emotions going through you again, you both pulled away he looked over at candles. The flames were even bigger, "I guess, that didn't work" he smirked looking back at you. Your face heating up from all the shock and emotions of the kiss "no, that did not work" you smiled and rolled your eyes at him
