Chapter 4

The day after Tails wanted to wake up first, hoping to surprise Cosmo with breakfast and make her in a good mood, so she was going to talk with him about her problems.

Sadly he slept too deeply, when he woke up Cosmo already left the room he knew that she surely was going to anticipate him, unless she already did.

He was disappointed because he kept wishing to see her happy, but he had no idea what she wanted the most, he decided that he was going to make another project for her, but first he had to understand what she'd wish.

Suddenly he remembered about that moment, when she came inside when he ended his song (in my previous fanfiction).

He thought that he could work on some kind of translator for songs, he decided that he'll go work on it soon.

He walked to the kitchen and found Cosmo still cooking, he reached her from behind, gave her a hug and said: "Goodmorning Cosmo"

Cosmo panicked and said: "TAILS, I wasn't expecting you to be awake so soon"

Tails asked: "It is a problem Cosmo?"

Cosmo got shy and said: "Well... actually..."

Tails understood and hugged her saying: "You'd like to surprise me with something, right?".

Cosmo felt busted, but Tails' smile made her smile too, when they broke Tails asked: "What were you trying to do Cosmo?"

Cosmo didn't want to answer, Tails looked at the clock and saw it was 8:30 AM, it wasn't early, so he asked: "Usually you've prepared the breakfast now"

Cosmo felt really shy, she continued what she was doing saying: "Just a moment".

After a while she handed Tails something and said: "I was trying to prepare you this"

Tails watched over her and saw what she was handing him, he got surprised to see Cosmo trying to prepare a chilidog for him, he gasped and asked: "What? How did you...?"

Cosmo: "You were so lost in your mind when you saw the chilidogs that Sonic had for breakfast... I wanted to make you some, this is my first try."

Tails: "Wow, thanks Cosmo... I know I said it loud, but... how did you know that I wanted them so much?"

Cosmo giggled and said: "Well, you asked how you could chilidog Sonic"

Tails got surprised, then they started laughing.

After a while they calmed down and Tails asked: "Did I really say chilidog and not repay?"

Cosmo nodded then Tails took a little bite of that chilidog then he said: "Well, it's very nice for a first try, but if you want me to be honest, you still have to improve much."

Cosmo thanked saying: "Thanks Tails, yesterday I asked Amy how to prepare them, it seemed really hard, I thought you were going to dislike it."

Tails gave her a hug and said: "As I said, it's nice for a first try"

Cosmo felt really good in Tails' arms, they didn't broke and Tails said: "If you want, I can make you have some cooking lessons Cosmo"

Cosmo thanked saying: "Thanks Tails... let me take a while to decide ok?"

Tails accepted Cosmo's idea with a smile, he was so happy that he forgot about yesterday.

After they had some breakfast, Tails decided to pay a visit to Sonic and Amy and install the switch.

Cosmo asked if she could come too and Tails accepted saying: "Is this request for dating Cosmo?"

Cosmo wanted to deny and say that she only wanted to accompany him, but he immediately continued: "Yeah, we can have a nice date today, there's no problem".

Cosmo made a little laugh, then she stood on that game and said: "Yeah, that's what I wanted to ask you" then she started laughing, Tails did too.

Of course Tails was joking, but he wished to date Cosmo, they were going for a date after that Tails had given Amy the switch he worked yesterday.

When they got to them they knocked to the door, but nobody was answering, after a while somebody opened the door.

Sonic: "Tails... hello"

Tails: "Hi Sonic, did we come in a bad moment?"

Sonic: "Actually, I was teaching Amy something... come in guys"

Amy was there, sitting on the couch and feeling exhausted, Cosmo sat next to her: "Amy, why are you so exhausted?"

Amy was so exhausted that she couldn't answer, Sonic explained: "She was trying to use the Chaos Control"

Tails and Cosmo looked at Sonic and asked: "Chaos Control? What for?"

Sonic explained them everything and they understood, then he added: "If you do it and you're not able, you can get really exhausted, she'll need a while to rest."

Tails: "Meanwhile, can we talk Sonic?"

Sonic: "Sure, tell me Tails"

Tails: "I've ended the off switch that you asked me, I only need to install it and explain how to use it"

Sonic made a smile and leaded Tails away, bringing him to the shoes, then he asked: "Did you want to tell me something else Tails?"

Tails started working on the shoes, meanwhile he said: "Sadly, nope Sonic, yesterday I worked only on this switch"

Sonic understood, then he asked: "But, do you have some ideas Tails?"

Tails started thinking, after a while he said: "Well, I think I have many ideas Sonic, but it's hard for me to choose".

Sonic didn't know what to say, when Tails ended to install the switch, he turned to him and said: "I think I'll need some time to decide Sonic"

Sonic didn't like to hear that, so he said with a sad expression: "I wanted to marry her soon"

Tails understood, so he said: "If you want I can prepare it fast, but I don't think it'll be the unforgettable you want, maybe it's better if you let me gather some ideas... I'll brainstorm myself for a while"

Sonic wasn't happy to hear that he was going to wait much time, he asked: "When do you think you'll be able to prepare it?"

Sonic said he wanted the sooner possible, Tails offered him the 15th of January and Sonic accepted.

Tails was shy to say that, but he decided to tell everything to Sonic, so he said: "Meanwhile Sonic, I think I'll work on some projects... for Cosmo"

Sonic understood what Tails meant, eventually he said: "I understand you Tails, she's really important to you like Amy is for me."

Tails made a smile and hugged Sonic, then he asked what Tails was going to work on.

Tails was ultra shy, he didn't want to say loud his big secret about singing so he didn't answer.

After a while Sonic asked: "Is everything ok?"

Tails said: "Sorry Sonic, it's a big secret, too important for me"

Sonic didn't know what to think, he asked: "Is it a secret for me too?"

Tails admitted: "It's a secret for everyone"

Sonic was wordless, after a while he said: "You're really different from the Tails I've always known"

Tails tried to find some excuses, but Sonic refused to listen and gave him a hug saying: "It's the same for me Tails, I'm changing really much for Amy, I guess you're doing the same for Cosmo"

They stood on that fraternal hug for a while, then Sonic said: "I love this new life Tails"

Tails: "I do it too Sonic, it's wonderful to have someone next to you who can always make you feel wonderful", of course they were talking about Amy and Cosmo.

Sonic ended saying: "However, I'll never forget my best friend: the most important person for me except Amy"

Tails felt wonderful, then he said the same about Sonic, when they ended they noticed that Amy and Cosmo were waiting and listening from the door, they broke their hug and got red.

Both Amy and Cosmo walked to them and gave a hug to their love, no words were needed, but Sonic was worried that Amy could have heard everything, luckly she didn't.

When they broke Tails started explaining about the off button to Amy, it was situated on the heels, she had to clap them to turn the speed on and off.

Amy thanked and wanted to try it immediately, they got outside and she tried that.

She thought it didn't work, since she couldn't turn them on and off, but after a while she managed to understand and use it correctly.

Meanwhile Tails and Cosmo were waiting with Sonic, talking about the marriage, when Amy got back they just ended their speech.

Amy: "I think that works wonderful Tails"

Tails: "Glad to hear that Amy, now... we were going for a date, do you need something else?"

Amy: "No, thanks, that's all I needed, see you." then they said goodbye to eachother.

Sonic and Amy got back inside their house, Sonic asked: "Now what do you want to do Amy, continue the training or...?

Amy answered: "Well, I guess that's enough training for today, why don't we go for a run?"

Sonic accepted asking: "Where do you want to go Amy?"

Amy: "You lead Sonic"

Sonic made a smile, then he got outside and started running, Amy followed him.

They ran next to eachother for a while, Amy didn't look where she was going, she just followed Sonic.

They had a big fun running like that, eventually Sonic stopped, Amy didn't understand and got next to him asking: "Why did you stop?"

Sonic kept looking forward and answered: "Shhhhh Amy, just look"

Amy started looking the same way that Sonic was looking, she saw a long beautiful garden of flowers.

Amy found it beautiful, Sonic took her hand and got next to a tree, then he sat down.

Amy sat down next to him and they started looking to the beautiful panorama they had before them

After a while, Amy wanted to get up, but Sonic stopped her saying: "Amy, why do you want to go?"

Amy: "Do you want to stay here for a long time Sonic?"

Sonic: "Amy, chill for a while here, it's a beautiful day."

Amy got surprised, but with funny tone accused him: "You're not Sonic, Sonic would never tell me something like this, he always wanted to run".

Sonic made a smile, then he said: "Yeah, the old Sonic always wanted to run... Amy, you teached me that it's wrong".

Amy didn't understand and looked to Sonic, she was saying with her eyes: "What are you saying?"

Sonic continued: "Amy, in this life we're so used to run fast and do everything the sooner we can, that we don't even stop a moment to see the beautiful we have around, just stay here for a moment and try to relax, I know you'll understand."

Amy didn't know what to think, but she decided to make Sonic happy, she decided to don't get up and stay there, looking at the beautiful panorama.

After a while Sonic started caressing her shoulder and she felt that strange feeling, she started relaxing.

She lied her back to the tree and started enjoying, then she said: "You're right Sonic, it's so beautiful."

Sonic: "I knew you'd like it, come" then Sonic took her on his arms, Amy got surprised, but she felt great on his arms.

Sonic and Amy were looking eachother intensely, no words were needed to express what a beautiful day they were having, after a while Amy kissed deeply Sonic, who didn't refuse that.

When they stopped, Amy said: "You're so right Sonic, we should try to relax more often."

Sonic: "You teached me that Amy, I love it too"

Then they closed their eyes and started hugging, they stood there for so much time, that they didn't even realize that it got late.

When they did, Sonic said: "Oh, look, we stood here for too much, better go home"

Sonic tried to get up, but Amy pushed him back and made him stay on the tree

He said: "What are you..." Amy blocked him and gave him another deep kiss, Sonic wanted to leave, but he loved that kiss, he refused to make it end and decided to give Amy all the time she wished.
