In another fifteen minutes, the car swerves into the old parking lot of the city mall. As I'm grabbing my purse, I see Lia hop out of her car. Lia's a year older than me so she can drive her own car. I try my best to stay silent, but again, she asks about what happened. I still don't answer as we simultaneously walk into a shoe shop. "You know, I'm not going to stop bothering you until you answer and I just want to make that clear. Even if I wasn't your friend, I'm just curious now," Lia states.
It felt amazing to know someone cared...
But then?
I woke up to the hard feel of my school desk.
I woke up to students snickering, laughing, and pointing at me.I woke up to everyone ripping apart pictures of you.
It felt amazing to think someone cared.
