WE ALL PILED INTO BRYCE'S CAR. bryce sat in the front by himself while me and vinnie sat in the back. i turned to the side and stared out of the window.

i laughed and giggled every time vinnie would lean over towards me.

his mouth was only inches away from my ear as he whispered things.

"thank you for everything," he said.

"you're very welcome," i quietly let out as i turned towards him.

we stared into each others eyes for what felt like forever. well, that was until i turned away to face back towards the window. it felt like my heart was beating outside of my chest. i don't know if i'm anxious or just nervous, but before i knew it, vinnie had placed his hand on my thigh. i blushed in response, making sure that my smile was visible to all.

his hand caressed my thigh for the rest of the drive and i didn't mind at all, but he eventually pulled away as we approached sway house.

"okay love birds we're here," bryce said as he adjusted his drivers mirror.

"shut up bryce," i retorted. rolling my eyes as i opened my side of the door before vinnie followed behind me.

i twisted and turned the knob before the front door quickly swung open and to our surprise, the house was empty.

i stuck my head through the door and looked around. "hello, is anybody home?"

"if you guys are pranking us-," 

"suprise!," everyone shouted at the same time. we both took a step back as all our our friends emerged from the far corners of the room. they walked up to us and gently embraced us.

as we all took a step back from our embrace, we all stood in silence, as awkward as could be.

"well don't be so stiff, say something. give us some movement", anthony blurted out. he was quickly met with a soft punch from avani. "what the hell?" she asked him as he gripped as arm in pain.

i turned to face vinnie and stared at him for a few seconds. "i-i'm think i'm gonna go home now",

he quickly turned to face me, "are you tired?"

"yes just a little, but you can stay here and enjoy whatever this is".

"i'll take you home", i smiled as the words left his mouth. we quickly said our last words. before i could even get through the door, avani pulled me to the side.

"what is wrong with you?" she asked

"what?" i questioned.

"he just got out of jail and you're already taking back home for a quikie..."

"you're disgusting", i said.

"don't act like thats not the reason why you two are so eager to go back to your apartment; alone might i add".

"whatever vani, i'll call you later" i rolled my eyes at her as i walked away.

"you ready to go?" vinnie asked. i nodded my head in agreement.
