▬▬▬▬ THE PHONE ONLY beeped for the fifth time as the girl hopelessly set it aside on the table, sliding her back exhaustedly against the cold wall of the hotel room she spent the night with 67.

Jennie. She chuckled sardonically at her stupidity. She was right. Who could trust a stranger who laid on the street as she had nothing else better to do? The fact that she even made her a name was laughable.

She understood the woman. She got why she was cautious and overly protective of her brother. Family is indeed important.

Another sarcastic laugh. Family.

Seon Mi stared at the floor. The flushed colours of her face faded. Her lips quirked slightly to form an ironic smile.

Does she still have that? Her mother and siblings ignored her existence hence the dead beeping phone. She continued to lie to her father in his probable death bed.

She took a deep breath, sniffling. Once the girl turned to her side, there she saw the card with the three shapes she never thought she'd see again.

Her eyebrows furrowed before she crawled on the floor to reach her hand out and take it. Her fingers shook as she turned the card around to find the words she hesitantly read.

Seon Mi sat up, shut her eyes tightly and ran her fingers through her hair in frustration. She never wanted to end up like this.

But she needed the money. She needed to be a good family to her father.

She didn't want to die just to get to her goal, but what's the point of living with the usual shit everyday?

At least when she's buried deep, there's nothing else to worry about. If she won, her problems would be solved.

It was a win-win situation.

There's nothing else to live for.

Everyone dies at the end anyway. If she didn't win and someone else did, good for them.

She laughed and shook her head, clutching the card with hope, "You decide if I live or die."

The girl opened her eyes and quickly stood up from where she sat. She grabbed the phone, the hair tie just lying around the floor, and a ring on a dog tag necklace.
