Narrator's POV
With the power back on, the two groups started working out a plan of action. The sun was near set, with only one last glimmer of orange peeking through the window as they spoke.
"We could take some of the stuff from the science classroom to use for this," Darnell stated, turning to Alucard slightly. Alucard looked back at him and nodded. "Alright. I'll go grab some." He ran to the science classroom next door and grabbed some equipment. On another cafeteria table, he set down Petry dishes, two microscopes, vials, and beakers.
Nene asked politely, getting some food for everyone, "So, what are we gonna do now?" Everyone looked at each other, not sure how to answer. "Oh, come on!" She said, "We can't just stand around like sitting ducks and do nothing all night!"
"I mean, while Darnell and Alucard set up, the rest of us could start looking for whatever's hanging around here," Hanzou spoke up, curious about what was going on. The group looked at them, then at each other, and nodded. The four others got up, and each grabbed a flashlight.
"Nene, you and Cy go investigate the bathrooms, science classroom, teachers lounge, and breaker room," Pico stated, watching her nod in agreement. "Hanzou and I will investigate the three other classrooms, principal's office, and janitor's closet." They turn and head off in their separate directions.
Pico's POV
I walk down the dark hallway, Hanzou beside me and flashlight in hand. We walked into the math classroom, the chalkboard covered in old equations. Desks were still a mess from that awful day in April, flipped over, and scattered across the room.
"Alright." I sighed, glancing over at Hanzou. "Just look for any oddities." They nodded and started to look around.
After a while, I heard something. It sounded like a scratching noise. I looked around, then Hanzou spoke up.
"Okay, two things," They softly commented, "One, did you hear that, or was it just me?"
"No, no," I replied, "I heard it too."
"Okay," They nodded before continuing. "Two, I found something." They waved me over to the corner of the room and pointed at something.
I pointed my flashlight at the corner, revealing a few missing boards. But it wasn't the boards that concerned me; it's what was underneath. Under the wood floor was a hole, a human-sized hole. It looked like something dug a tunnel under there.
"Well." I snarkily remarked. "I guess we know how this thing is getting around." I turn around and walk to the door. "Next classroom."

Nene's POV
Cyclops and I made our way to the teacher's lounge. I opened the wooden door, and we walked in. "If you find anything weird, tell me, okay?" I commented in a sweet voice. He nodded and started to look around.
A few minutes pass with not much happening. That is until Cy spoke up. "I found something." I turned around, and he was crouched under a wooden table with his ass in the air. I wanted to give that thing a good slap, but I just walked to him, kneeling beside him. He sat up, and I peered at where he was staring. It looked like a small, dark puddle. I shined my flashlight toward it, revealing a small pool of blood.
"It looks fresh," I remarked, glancing over at Cyclops.
"That's the thing," He commented back, panic in his voice, "It's fresh, and it's not ours." He then looked around the small puddle, pointing to a bloody pair of scissors. "Look! I think whatever this thing is impaled itself on these and pulled it out, thus causing it to bleed."
"Well, I think we should take the scissors to Alucard and Darnell," I stated, glancing around the room. "We finished our search anyways." He nodded and carefully picked up the cutting tool as we walked out.
Narrator's POV
The six group members met up in the cafeteria again to share their findings.
"So, what did you guys find?" Darnell asked, sitting down beside Alucard. "Anything interesting?"
"Oh, yeah," Hanzou remarked with a grin, "Pico and I found some destroyed boards with a human-sized tunnel underneath."
"Look what we found." Nene huffed, nudging Cyclops to show what they found. He placed the scissors on the table. "We found a fresh pool of blood that wasn't ours, and these things."
"Hmm," Alucard murmured, "Perhaps we should take some blood samples and investigate that tunnel more. You all get some sleep."
