To be specific it was a female scarlet robin. Piper adored that bird and named it Teal. She took great care of that bird right up until she died. When Piper died her mother gave Teal to me, she said that I should have her because I was the one who had gifted Teal to Piper and that she wouldn't be able to take care of her anymore.
