If you've read the first draft of this fic (which was written under the name "Stolen") then I'll just forewarn you, the story and characters have changed a lot.

As always, there are a few things I would like to make clear:

1. This is a Sebastian Michaelis x OC book, not a Sebastian Michaelis x Reader

2. This is a slow burn romance, do not expect them to be making out in the 2nd chapter

3. This is going to be a two book series, do not expect everything to be wrapped up by the end of this one

4. I do not know how many pounds things were in the 1890's, I'm doing a best guess scenario on prices so go easy on me

5. That being said, I also do not know much British slang as I'm American, so go easy on me with that as well---I'm going off of what Google says

6. I do not tolerate hate comments, if you comment hate then your comment will be deleted, and you will be blocked and reported

7. This book isn't meant to be a realistic portrayal of 1890's England, obviously

8. I'm not looking for any criticism on this book, constructive or not, so unless it's about my grammar then please keep your critiques to yourself

9. This fanfic is non-fandom safe, so people who aren't in the fandom can still read and understand what's going on

10. Don't advertise your books on my book and don't ask me to read them in the comments section. DM me if you want me to read your book but keep it off my work!

Another thing I would like to make clear is this:

I write long ass chapters.

This is something I have always been upfront about, and yet it was the one thing that was consistently complained about in the original version of this fic. It got to the point where I split up all of the chapters (when they weren't supposed to be, mind you) just so that everyone would stop telling me about the word count. So, in the spirit of being transparent, let me reiterate:

I write long ass chapters.

I am not going to stop writing long ass chapters and, this time, I am not going to split up my chapters just because some of you don't like how long my chapters are.

If you have a problem with my long ass chapters, then this is not the fic for you.

That is how I write and I'm not going to change it. I like how I write. There are shorter fics out there that I'd be happy to recommend.

That message is, as stated, only for the people it applies to---I know most of you didn't say anything. I just felt the need to say that for those that did, and to provide a reminder to everyone who might've forgotten while I was on my hiatus.

I will not be setting a specific update time, I will simply update the chapters as I finish them.

Note:

I am using both the manga and the anime to write this fic. That being said, I plan on changing some of the storylines and putting some storylines out of order so that everything makes sense when put together instead of having to sacrifice one thing for another. I also have a few headcanons that I will be using in this story.

Also, I'm posting this fic on Ao3 as well under the name: I Am What You Made Me [A Monster? Or a Saint?] by ADHD_Enthusiast. This fic on Ao3 will include a couple of extra chapters that include storylines that don't necessarily have anything to do with the actual storyline, such as: the Alice in Wonderland OVA, the Actor OVA, the Shakespeare Play OVA, etc.

All of the art in this book has been commissioned by me from roddarts on Instagram. I will be listing his socials at the bottom of every chapter that his art appears in.

If you have criticism (even constructive criticism) please do not send it to him or post it in my comments. If he wanted criticism, he would ask for it, and this is not a butchering ground for his work. If you start criticizing him or sending him hate (whether on their socials or my page) I will block you and report you for harassment.

Do Not use this art without my explicit permission (which I will also discuss with roddarts, as he made it). I paid for this art, and he has worked hard on it, so don't take or copy what's not yours.

Trigger Warnings:

I will be listing each section's trigger warnings in the section overview chapters. Every chapter will also have the triggers that appear in that specific chapter listed at the top, so that you'll be able to skip it if it makes you uncomfortable.

All chapters that feature explicit sexual activities will be labeled as OVA's so that you can also skip those, if they make you uncomfortable.
