kuroo, his girlfriend chi and bokuto koutarou were sitting down in one row of chairs waiting for the wedding to begin.

bokuto narrowed his eyes at the couple. there was an unspoken tension between all of them and all of them were holding back from asking the same question.

"so how do you know y/n-chan", bo was the one that broke the silence, eyes now focused ahead

"how do you know her", kuroo countered, "you were internally screaming when you mentioned her to hajime"

"i wasn't screaming", he clarified, "i was just curious"

"she looks pretty today", chi smiled to herself, "you think she's single?"

"you have a boyfriend", kuroo reminded

"who i love and cherish", she specified, kissing him on the cheek, "but there's no harm in a repeat-"

kuroo slapped a hand over her mouth as they looked at bokuto.

"you were saying, kou"

"repeat of what?", bo narrowed his eyes at them again

chi said something but it came out muffled because kuroo was still covering her mouth.

"nothing, tell us about you and y/n"

"there's nothing to tell!!", he exclaimed, "i might've... we might've... hooked up once"

"once?"

"or maybe five times"

"kou i am very offended that i don't know about this", chi huffed, looking away from him

"oh please, i'm sure your thing with her is way more messed up", bo rolled his eyes

"there's nothing messed up about a threesome, it's good to experiment", chi said it all in one go

"you did WHAT", bo clapped a hand over his mouth

"can you guys shut up?", the voice that came from the row behind them was laced with distaste because it was the voice of nakahara rei.

"what do you think, captain? can you shut me up?", tetsurou was amused at the request of his girlfriend but complied nonetheless.

"as you wish, sweetheart", he whispered, leaning in so that his lips met hers deeply

"ew get a room", bo groaned

"we already got one", kuroo said it like it was the most normal thing in the world

"heading there right after this is over"

"bokuto and kuroo were being weird when i mentioned y/n", hajime was talking to his best friend, feeling a little more levelheaded than he had all day, "you think something happened?"

he was confused that his look of disdain was transferred to oikawa tooru instead, who was eyeing the two ex-captains and the hot girl with them.

the three seemed to be in their own world, arguing about something random. and it didn't seem odd to hajime but it did seem so to oikawa who was drowning in suspicion and jealousy.
