I smell something. I feel someone shaking me awake. Smoke filled my lungs as I bolted awake after I smell the fire. I see mom running around the house with my baby brother in her arms. I hear a scream. I ran into the room where I heard the scream. I see mom on fire. My brother was wide-eyed. My mother looks at me and says " Run my dear, take your brother with you." I ran to her and took my wide-eyed baby brother and ran out of the small room I was in. Got my brother's favorite, most loved toy and ran out of the house that was on fire. I knew I would never see my mother, best friend, only friend ever again. As I got out of the house, I turned back to see the house broken down on the ground. My eyes started to water. I knew I had to keep going, but this time with mom dead.
