SUMMARY
Regulus and Celia were set to begin their seventh and final year at Hogwarts, yet the very first they were spending in the castle without their older siblings. In one way it was a blessing, to not hear the Howlers sent when one of them did something that went just a little over the level that their families could sit by, silently watching, or to not see them mess around with their Gryffindor friends or have to avert their eyes in the corridor every passing time between period.
But now that Sirius and Audrey had graduated, there were no more ties holding them together. Nothing but blood, and Regulus and Celia couldn't think of anything thinner. There were no moral obligations to see them anymore, there were no obligations as a child to return to their family home for the holidays. Neither of them would have a clue what Sirius nor Audrey was doing. There would be no letters, no awkward conversations and no more older siblings.
And as they came home for the summer following their sixth year, they came to a realisation. All of the hopes and dreams their families had now rested solely on Regulus and Celia's shoulders. They were the only ones left. No younger siblings, only friends and cousins who had their own expectations piled upon them.
They were completely alone, and they were looking for an escape.
