Surviving Bon Temps

ALEX POV

I had decided to go home today, to Bon Temps to visit. Eric had told me a wolf had attacked Sookie and then he and Godric sat me down and filled me in on more of the supernatural. It seemed that every creature was real, shifters, vampires, wolves. Apparently long ago when they were part of the war in Germany they encountered wolves who were with a vampire and fed of the blood. It was a bit shocking that took place and that they were still around. Eric had said these same bred of vampire blood-fed wolves killed his family.  Getting to Gran's house I saw Sookie on the porch cleaning. She had been right the house looked atrocious, it was a disaster. It had been in our family for generations and now looked dilapidated. I quickly got out of the car as I saw a very tall dark-haired man walk up behind her. As he grabbed Sookie stepping through the doorway I jumped on his back. I was just a tad stronger considering I recently had Godric's blood when we exchanged it during sex.

"Shit, let go I'm not tryin to hurt either of you!"

"Wolves are trying to hurt her and you're a wolf, the blood of vampire is in me."

"Eric Northman sent me Alex." I dropped off him in shock looking at Sookie who was just as shocked.

"You know my name?"

"Yes, he told me you would be visiting her, to look after both of you especially her. My name's Alcide Herveaux." Not gonna lie as I looked up at him I felt very guilty. This man was one of the most handsome sexy men I had ever fucking seen. He was easily 6'5, pure muscles, and was all tall dark and handsome. Shit Sookie needed to get with him. I saw her glare at me and knew she had read my mind.

"Sorry I am Godric's I can't or I would he's definitely my type." I could tell the way Sookie looked at him that she indeed felt the same. She nodded her head and I knew she was answering my thought. We sat down at the table and I saw Sookie look at him.

"Yes I can."

"What?" I asked as she sat down and he looked shocked.

"He asked if I could really read minds." I nodded looking at him.

"She can, comes in handy sometimes. How do you know Eric, I didn't think wolves and vampires exactly got along, from what he and Godric have said."

"We don't, my old man owns a construction company, came up short on a project and went to him for a loan, I am here to help get him out of debt. I don't do favors for vans and I know the pack is sniffing around. You live with him correct?"

"I guess I do, his maker is." I paused looking for how to word it. I was falling for Godric but was scared to say that out loud admitting it made it real. I never pictured myself in this situation and now I couldn't picture it not that way. "He is special to me and he moved to be with Eric and I have been staying there."

"You don't live here, thought you grew up here?"

"I did but it hasn't been very safe lately and I don't trust her boyfriend who has access to our home so I left. Eric offered me a place to say and work since I am close to his maker."

"Are you friends with them?" Sook asked.

"Wouldn't say that exactly but you aren't getting in without an in and I'm what you got."

"In where, what the hell are you getting caught up in now Sookie."

"She doesn't know?"

"Know what?" I asked.

"I am going to find Bill, he is in Jackson."

"Mississippi? What the hell have you lost your mind. Do you realize how dangerous they are! The symbol they are branded with dates back millennia and they drink V."
