you stared at the woman that stole your heart from day one. she was discussing tour with her team while you stood off to the side. the singer wanted you to be there while they went over the fine details for support. you quickly agreed since you loved how she looked when she talked about her shows.
you were never the best person before you met madison. she was this pure souls you were always terrified of hurting. she's so good to you and you try your best to be good to her back but it's hard for you. growing up you never showed love toward your family or friends and vice versa. and now in a relationship with the sweetest kindest person you've ever met you had to totally drop the whole "not a love" type of person persona and show your love for the woman with each passing day. but loving madison is a easy task. expressing it on the other hand was hard.
you couldn't just outright say the three words so you showed it in actions. you kicked yourself for always struggling to say them. you tried your best to mutter the eight letter sentence and madison appreciated it. she knew how much you struggled with love and was patient with you. that was another thing you love about her , she's always so patient with you and never raises her voice.
she called you over and you quickly jogged toward her. "what's up?" you smiled. her hand linked with yours and she looked at you. "we can go now." she mumbled and you nodded.
the two of your walked to the car and you ran over to open her door for her. you shut the door and she watched as you ran over back to the drivers side with a smile. you were always so happy to do small things for madison. your hand reached out for hers and you started the car. "thanks for coming with me today." madison mentioned and you nodded. you reached a red light and looked over to her with a large smile. "of course." you mumbled as you kissed her forehead softly.
hours later you sat in your shared bedroom , overthinking once again. you thought about how such an amazing person fell in love with you. you were broken beyond repair and you somehow began dating madison.
the woman walked into the room , looking for something. you sat on the edge of the bed as thoughts overfilled your head.
"how could a heart like yours ever love a heart like mine?" you asked suddenly with a tearful look. madison turned around and took in your tearful face and immediately got concerned. "what?" she asked , kneeling down as she went in between your legs. "i'm so broken. and you're perfect. how can you even love me?" you asked as your voice cracked.
madison's hands went to your face as she wiped your tears away. her heart broke at your questions. "y/n." she whispered softly and you kept your gaze locked on your hands that played with the skin on your fingers. "y/n." she called again and lifted your chin to lock with your eyes.
"you are an amazing person. and i know you struggle with showing love but i feel so loved by you. considering that you say you suck at showing love you're damn good at it. y/n you are so romantic with me. you open the car door for me and you pull my seat out for me at dinner. you literally run to make sure those things happen. you remember the smallest little details about me , even if i just said it randomly. you take time and put thought into the little gifts you give me and the dates you take me on. you got me lunch and wrote a note because you knew that the meeting was stressful." madison rambled and you had a little smile grow. blush filled your face and madison smiled seeing your reddened cheeks.
"you say you can't show love but you're such a cheeseball. it's like you came straight out of a romance book. i'm so lucky to have you in my life , and i'm even luckier to have you as my girlfriend." she lightly kissed you and you both smiled halfway through.
you had broken a lot of hearts but you vowed to never break madison's. she could break yours as much as she wanted but you'll never break hers.
