FOR DECADES, THE SANTOS FAMILY OWNED FREERIDGE. Not literally, or legally, but in every other way that mattered. Nobody messed with them, and for the most part they minded their own business when they weren't feeling threatened. But it was the summer of 2020 when the biggest reckoning came to Freeridge in the form of a family of rage-fueled Albanians.
LENDINA BAGDHANI-LASKU GOT HER START SELLING PILLS OUT OF HER HIGH SCHOOL LOCKER ROOM. When her cousin Jonathan Lasku started selling the harder stuff out of the trunk of his car, she saw her chance to make it to the big leagues, with the high-rolling Bagdhani-Lasku Syndicate threatening to run the Santos' out of town.
MISSY BAGDHANI-LASKU AND CEASER DIAZ NEVER ASKED FOR ANY OF THIS. Two kids who never wanted the legacy that their older siblings fostered. So of course, when the Santos and the Bagdhani-Laskus go head to head one dark Freeridge night, it's no surprise when the two teenagers find they have more in common than they thought. Three drinks later and they're making out under a bridge by Pimp Lane.
DETERMINED TO KEEP THE RELATIONSHIP A SECRET, AT LEAST UNTIL THEY GRADUATE, MISSY SWEARS CEASER TO SECRECY. A Santos and a Bagdhani can't even be seen nodding at each other in the halls of a Freeridge high school, how would Lendina and Spooky react when they find out that their siblings are rolling with each other in the sheets? Once they can get out of town, they'll be free. At least, that's what Missy thinks, anyways.

- romeo and juliet trope, so i definitley had to use my favourite song form the dicaprio soundtrack as a title
- i really dont wanna kill them both off, which is why i probably won't write it because if i do i was toying with this idea of alternating between missy and ceaser's forbidden romance while also showing how lendina and spooky are coping two years later
- i'm glad they ended on my block when they did, because it had the potential to get tiring and overdone ( like riverdale- ew- )
