The door opens. It's him. He's taking a seat with a grin, unraveling a messy bandage on his injured leg.
Yeah.
That looks just like the gun shot wound I did to him the first time we met.
Suddenly something starts banging on the door. Jacob holds it until the creature goes away. It takes a while. It’s a persistent one. Only when the thing has not been heard for a secure moment did he report his attention to his wound.
- They are still surrounding the area. They're smelling the blood. I don't think they'll go away anytime soon. I've found some junk on my patrol. Maybe we can salvage some of those into useful shit.
- Sh…ow me.
He opens his bag now filled with electronic parts and display them near where I am currently laying down. I am no electrician and most of the things I don't know any utility for, but there is some tape and a few batteries. Maybe we can craft something useful out of that.
He sits against the door and slip a piece of paper in his pocket.
- I kn…ew y…ou ha…d a map.
He gives me a mean look and just unfold the piece of paper now that there is no point in hiding it, but I don’t have the right angle to see it. Which is kind of a bummer.
