'here we are, dear. sit up, now,' Madam Pomfrey set down a small tray of breakfast foods.

it was filled of scrambled eggs, sliced strawberries with a juice for the drink.

Draco grimaced.

he sat up and stared at the food as if it were going to stand and attack.

Pomfrey took out her wand and scanned it over Malfoys forehead.

'temperature is normal..,' she murmured mostly to herself.

Malfoy continued his stare over at the food, not wanting to touch it.

to a normal person with a normal relationship with food would've only smelled freshly cooked eggs with cut strawberries.

but to him all he smelt was an odour of poison.

Pomfrey noticed the way Malfoy stared so repulsively at the meal, 'you're aloud to eat, Mister Malfoy.'

Malfoy practically jumped when Madam Pomfrey spoke, almost forgetting the women was there.

staring at the food for years wasn't going to make it disappear.

he internally sighed and picked up the tray carefully as he brought it to his lap.

picking up the silverware he poked at the egg; he brought it up to his lips and the smell escaped into his nose.

his mind begged him to put down the fork, the smell too much itself already.

but he knew if he didn't eat he was going to be forced to St. Mungos. and that was the last thing he wanted. he knew they'd be more rough and strict with him.

so he ate it.

giving his slowest and longest chews.

and he continued to eat, slowly and long.

eat bite he took felt as a nightmare but he continued anyway for his own will.

he suddenly felt watched.

looking up, to see Pomfrey was still there watching him as he ate.

'i don't need you watching me like i'm a Voldemort himself,' he said with a rude scowl.

'im afraid that's not my choice. i need to make sure you eat at least half your meal so i know you aren't pitching it into the garbage,' she pulled out a chair and sat beside Malfoys bed, she gave a stern look, that even surprisingly scared Malfoy a bit.

Malfoy hummed annoyingly as he continued his eating.

'don't you think i'm smarter than to be chucking it away? especially with the horrendous smell eggs give when gone bad,' he gave the women an internal eye roll.
