The Sanada Shall Live On (A Sengoku Musou fanfic)

Chapter 1

It has been one year since the battle against the Toyotomi clan. The Tokugawa ended up winning the battle, but there was a great loss for Sanada Nobuyuki. His brother, Yukimura was killed before him as he charged at the Tokugawa soldiers. His last words to Nobuyuki were "I leave the Sanada clan in your hands. I wish you and Sister a happy life. I shall see to the soul of the Sanada and the warrior spirit myself!"

Things have been peaceful in Japan ever since that war ended. It's been so peaceful, that Tadakatsu Honda, Ina's adopted father and Nobuyuki's father-in-law, decided to drop the big question on the couple. "Sooooooo....Things have been pretty peaceful." he began. The couple nodded in agreement. "You know...have the two of you started considering about....settling down?"

Ina's face blushed a deep red when her father asked that question, and so did Nobuyuki. "Father!" Ina exclaimed. "Uh....Well.....not really...." Nobuyuki scratched his head. "Well, if you wanna keep the Sanada clan growing, you gotta have some children to inherit the name!" Tadakatsu patted Nobuyuki on the back while laughing.

He could tell that they were embarrassed of him bringing this topic up. "Whenever the mood strikes you, I guess!" he winked as he walked away to go admire the big Sakura tree.

Once it was just the two of them, both Ina and Nobuyuki sighed. "Hmmmm. It would be nice..." Ina's voice trailed off as she looked at Nobuyuki, which caused him to blush. "U-um, if it's alright with you..." Nobuyuki remembered what his brother said. He was the only one who could extend the Sanada family by producing heirs.

The only thing is, without Nobuyuki knowing, there is someone who wants to wipe out the Sanada clan out of existence. And he is quietly planning their demise...
