Olivia Walton is the no-nonsense Baptist mother of 7 children, and the loving wife of John Walton. She grew up in Alberene, Virginia under her maiden name, Daly.

Olivia is a very motherly, sweet, compassionate and religious lady, who would do anything for her family and home. Despite her sweetness, she is not afraid to scold, or even punish her children for misbehaving.

She is a very religious woman, who can quote directly from the Bible and never misses the local church's Sunday service. Although Olivia regularly prompts her husband to attend church and be baptised, she affords him the right to choose his own path.
